I have a friend who lives in a house boat but not sure if that's helpful :D

lol, neither do I...does s/he ever have to get it out of the water and store it? Been asked if I'd consider it for 6-12 months and need to know what I'd charge and what it would cost me in insurance if council are happy for that use...if I can't its no fullstop. Owner ''doesn't know'' what they want to pay, but seems charming. I did to know if I'm looking at a £5 a week (probably not a goer for me) or what.

I'm using the new look forum now, the less bright version. I shudder to think what the more bright version would be like. Have I got the courage even just to test it? :)

Edit: Hmm, is there any difference between the two versions of the new look? Both seem to require dark glasses.

Hmm again, forum default seems less garish, or am I just becoming less sensitive?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Do any of the nice people have boats...or maybe caravans...? This is leading somewhere ..I need info...:D
No ... never been on/in (which is in?) a boat, I'd like a caravan but too much of a wuss to tow one and try to get it set up all alone (in the dark/wind/rain).

Change to the newer version of viewing the forum and thanking will work again. It's somewhere under options.

    Ooh...thank you.

    So where's 'options' then?

    Feeling v technically incompetent. :o

    And I have a temperature. :(

I keep having to log in again whenever I open my browser, very change only been like this for the last day. (And I have ticked the "remember me" button, but it still forgets me.

But I do have a thanks button.

Lir, I don't know if its relevant, but caravan storage around here - no staying on site but with access to get caravan and move off site plus CCTV monitoring - is about £400 pa.

Oh dear, the virus is catching...

I think losing the thanks count is the mse equivalent of the sore throat that seems to be the next stage in the bug I've got in real life (DS was off school on Friday with the same bug I've now got).

I started off needing to log in again; then the next thing is you can't thank.

Then your leg drops off or something. ;)

Oh, I was being metaphorical - forget there were things called computer 'viruses' - I'm having a dim day today. :o Meant just some technical hiccup doing the rounds; suspect it's mse's fault, not yours, because it seems to be affecting lots on here.

Then again, I did have a logging-in problem on a couple of other fora (forums??) too - could it be real bug?? Worried now.
