I like to retain a chink of lack of confidence. I call it ''self preservation''.0 -

Well I've had a different day.....
Wrestled with the assignment for a few hours, did some housework and managed to catch the cat to give him his anti inflammatories.
Then school run to pick youngest up as middle son was doing band practice (yep, he has finally started a rock band of his own), get to my parents and just about to take a sip of tea and the phone rings...practice cancelled as there is an orchestra practicing! So trail back up to the school to pick him up and finally get back to my parents where my tea had gone cold.
Then the first big news of my day - Holiday booked!
Second big news - Eldest has got two A's (one in R.E and one in English) plus an improvement on his biology to a B from a C (and all part of his GCSE).
Third big news - Ex hubby in town to attend a wedding and he actually offered to have the boys for a few hours this evening, my flabber was well and truly gasted..and this is on top of having them tomorrow after school for a cinema trip. It may not be much but it is a def improvement on his usual 2 hours per visit down here..he can't have them Saturday as I am taking the boys out plus of course, he has a wedding to attend.
Oh ....and I have choccie, biscuits and bars!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
All sounds good SS...hoping ex Hubby has a good time with his kids and decides do it more often..that would make 2010 even better for you. I wonder if he is actually missing it all now despite all the probs the boys have and is starting to reconnect?0
