I stopped watching BB about 3 years ago when it just got annoying. Early winners - Craig and Brian were great, but the others (except Pete and a couple of others) just got more up themselves and convinced they were major celebrities. Can't stand it now. I don't like any talent shows that are only for celebrities either. Why can't they be for ordinary people anymore?

Have to say I only really watched (and enjoyed) the first series when those taking part hadn't realised quite what a route to minor celeb hood it was - have seen bits of the other series as the Mrs was a big fan but even she hasn't been able to get in to the last couple of series (time to be thankful for small mercies)
    I think....

Ever since we got the PVR thing that records a whole series on its own, there's never been anything decent on our telly.:(

Still, only about six weeks until she goes off to uni....:)

My eldest tells me thats one of the things students moan about - how their parents are always moaning at them about how they block up the planner and how they have to keep asking home not to delete stuff of the planner that they will be watching when they next get home.

Latest gizmo is something called SlingBox (??) which will allow them to watch at uni what is on the sky box at home through your and their wi-fi.

I feel completely in the dark. Who cares about Alice Roberts, Makosi, and Chantelle? Okay, I obviously need to watch television more, but I've never seen anything at all interesting on Big Brother - just some rather dull people sitting around chatting endlessly. Well, it could well be endless, except I wouldn't know because I've switched it off. And MisKool, you couldn't possibly be Alice Roberts, as she went to Cardiff. At least that's what wikipedia says.

Good grief, I just saw a picture of Makosi. She's deformed. Why did they put a freak on television?

We have a Sky dish, but no Sky. We slung the box in the barn. Does that count? :)

I once taught an Alice Roberts, but she went on to become a solicitor, I think, and anyway, she was definitely not Big Brother fodder.

    Just seen a suicide attempt.

Busy car park in broad daylight (so I guess a cry for help rather than a genuine attempt). Guy in a smoke filled car, police couldn't get him to open the door so they broke the window, man handled him out of the car and gave him oxygen before he got taken away in an ambulance. So much smoke in the car, I got there after the police but onlookers said before the police arrived you couldn't see if there was anyone in the car for so much smoke. :(

Shocked, I've never seen anyone try to commit suicide before. Initially I did wonder if they were filming for TV as they are a lot of of film studios nearby. Once I realised it was real, I was shocked.

The amazement was only when I thought about it later and thought how stupid it would be to try and kill yourself in a busy car park in that way.
