    Some advice on manners, please.

My DD invited a friend over from the USA. He slept on the sofa, and in the morning he was still quite hung over (from jet lag). He came and had breakfast without putting his trousers on, just in his boxer shorts. I thought we should put him at his ease, and I was just about to take my trousers off when my DW stopped me. So, which of us was right, do you think?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

@viva I have an incline for Alonso this week.

Just think it may be his turn to have some good luck and he's as good a driver as anyone.

Latest gizmo is something called SlingBox (??) which will allow them to watch at uni what is on the sky box at home through your and their wi-fi.
Nobody in my family/house has ever had Sky ... nor wi-fi. So I'd be a bit stuck to use that if I were at Uni.

We've got a telly and freeview box. And even that's challenging to understand.

Maybe he couldn't as he'd left them upstairs on the bedroom floor in the middle of the night :P

PN, by your own admission, up until a couple of years ago you were pulling in 45 grand a year.

I strongly suspect you can work out freeview

Update on the Interview. Pointless. It turned out to be the journey from hell - low/thick fog, drizzle, tiny roads that were winding and you've no chance of overtaking except once every 40 miles (if you knew it was coming as it was short). So, arrived with 2 minutes to spare (left early, it just took longer than I thought).

Odd questions asked... so I asked them what frickin job it was ... SENIOR blah blah. Now, I've no desire to be a Senior anything thank you... I want to go and do a job and absorb their culture before considering senior anything. Agency had not sent me through the JD at all, job ad had not said/indicated it was a senior position. So, with their odd questions, I was clearly out of my depth as they really wanted somebody to take control of existing job-holders and ... have the instant answers to their existing problems. Clearly couldn't do that. It was a major firm, one of the biggest in the UK.

So, freshly absolved of the worry of "did I get it?", knowing there's no way, it was time to return home.

Six hours of awful driving, completely wiped me out. Got home and all I could do was sleep. Still kn4ckered today from the drive to be honest. Wiped out ... must be my age catching up. It was only about a 210 mile round trip, 6 hours due to poor road conditions/route, but that wouldn't have wiped me out 10 years ago :(

Another interview Tuesday ... what happens is the phone rings, it's an agency, they present you with a job and you go "OK, I'm interested" so they fix up an interview, then you get the job ad - so you see it for the first time after you've got the interview arranged. Well, this one's stuff I've never done before (so more blagging I guess)... spec includes stuff about comms, PR and strategic thinking/leading. Oh well, I'll turn up, see what they have to say. This one's location is very challenging (whole village only gets one bus/week and I think everybody's related).... cost of commute is about 20% of the salary.
