How do you both survive? I often go to bed late - too late - but once head hits pillow for sleep, I crash!

I don't work very well if I don't have enough sleep but I survive. It just happens. It's all part of the masochist personality that I have, like being a board guide on MSE

misskool, have you any courgette recipes (see earlier post)

Also, anyone here know if lir has gone offline with her moving? Or is she unwell owing to her neck?

    I need to PM her...

I just eat them. Shredded raw (baby ones) into salad. grilled, pan fried, chopped into EVERYTHING. I absolutely adore them, I've never been sick of courgette yet.

Otherwise, you can grill them and freeze them or cook them into pasta sauces for the freezer to eke out during the year.

Gardening adventures: Broad beans are now being picked and eaten... we never have a lot, just tide us over til the runner beans come into harvest. Tomatoes are not doing too well, think they have been burnt by the hot weather....

    Oh yes, and...

CHERRIES! Lots and lots of CHERRIES! The Cherrys in the trees have ripened and we are eating CHERRIES! And the birds... for once... they are not eating Cherries! Amazing. (I never thought we would manage to get pounds of cherries off the trees.... I think I may have eaten too many... does anyone know what is good for an cherry inspired upset stomach?)

Tried courgette muffins last year- they were OK. Probably had the potential to be much nicer if made by someone other than me. Found the recipe with a load of other savoury muffin ideas- possibly bbc website?

Seriously, I think double death chocolate heart-attack with extra toffee sauce and choc chip muffins are more my taste.
