Wow, carolt, you lucky, lucky girl. :)

I was just talking to DH about Dylan... wondering what he was up to at the moment.... unbelievable you should come on and say this!

We're in the middle of sorting out a load of old vinyl records, making sure we've got what we want to keep digitally and will be doing a car boot soon. Only it seems a good idea to try and find out whether any of them are worth more than car booting. Anyone know of a site to check these things out?

I've not seen Dylan in 20 years; he was more obliging this time, and almost sang his songs to the tunes we all know and love, rather than utterly random tunes as he did when I last saw him, typically ideosyncratically.

It was funny though, he tried to vary the phrasing in random ways, but got overtaken by the audience who just drowned him out by singing the 'correct' version way louder over his version. :p

Sadly, whilst all Dylan fans are lovely, all those in front of us appeared to be an average of 7 foot tall. :( Even the women. :(
I think there should be a law at unseated gigs (or even seated ones, for that matter), that gigs should work like school photos - you should get placed by height, so all the 7 footers get put automatically in the back row. :D

treliac, as a vinyl anorak, please be very carefulbefore car booting vinyl. Some of it can become VERY valuable.

    I love vinyl...

courgette muffins are ace. But really for most of the summer I pan fry them, chop up a bit of garlic and stir it in at the end and a dribble of lemon juice or some chopped up lemon balm.

We can eat 2-3 courgettes a week :D

Congratulations on your first babies, there will be many more :rotfl:

I have gravel paths and box hedges between the lawns (wee squares of grass really). The paths are a mass of bliddy weeds, they are growing faster than I can remove them.

I bought weed killer but it how long does it take to work? The things have never looked healthier.

Depends on the weedkiller, but usually pretty quick wageslave. :)

Generally you are best cutting it back where you can, then directing the weedkiller to the root of the problem.
(How sad & embarrassing is a gardening pun...:o)

The next day (provided there has been no rain), an inspection should highlight a job well done. Some minor decorative adjustments can be made.

    Hope you are well angel!:A
