Well done, missk, esp in these times of austerity.0

Congratulations missk! I think the best scientists also have an artistic side. Feynman for example. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Well done Miss Kool!
Well, I am having an absolute mare of a time with my latest assignment...so far my notepad and pen have been chucked across the room twice and the instructions for the assignment almost screwed up or ripped up a couple of time too.
It's research on the internet and I am not bad at research but this is just driving me up the bloody wall as it defies all the normal ways of searching for stuff using the internet...the rules are completely bloody different.
Oh, and it has to be in at midday tomorrow and I have written maybe about 200 words out of the 2000 that needs to be done.
All this is further complicated by youngest beggering his shoulder last night, a hospital trip last night and again this morning, eldest having his bike nicked from our garden along with my brother's bike too and having to go to the vet which has made my lovely clear day today not be clear at all.
GrrrrrrWe made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Excellent, misskool.

Funny you saying that viva; the next post I went to had this in the sig:
“We are at the very beginning of time for the human race. It is not unreasonable that we grapple with problems. But there are tens of thousands of years in the future. Our responsibility is to do what we can, learn what we can, improve the solutions, and pass them on.” Richard Feynman
Synchronicity or coincidence?
Whichever, he's obviously not of the tin hat persuasion!0 -

Found it now but by god is it frustrating...and illogical. We made it! I have acquired a few of those, Johnny Mercer, Bing Crosby and Al Jolson. Who sings on yours?
I don't know - there is quite a lot of interwar obscure "dance/jazz" type music, with a "crooner" filling in - kind of brings back images of guys with greased hair and a centre parting - and that is just from the title:D .
As mentioned above, I don't think I have anything still working that will play them.0 -
Well, I had to ask for an extension for the assignment..only for 24 hours, which makes me feel a complete failure but in my family, nothing ever runs smoothly and this week is no exception!
An unplanned visit to the police station plus follow up phone calls for eldest's bike (and his uncles one too!) plus two unplanned visits including one emergency one for youngest and his beggered shoulder and then the follow up meetings with school to explain what he can and can't do and make sure he settled back at school yesterday followng his second hospital visit meant that my assignment time was cut right down....I only really needed an extra hour or two to get it in as well!
Oh well, at least I can take a little break now and wait for the next saga/emergency to happen whilst I still try to get it done.We made it!
