Eldest has to be in at 10.30 and he is 17 in October! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Don't think my ex mother in law has quite got the gist of 6th form (even after we explained it a week or so ago), she was telling eldest he really needed to get a full time job rather than a part time one now he has finished school last night.
We had to explain (yet again) what going back to school in September to do A levels means....and she was still confuzzled. Think she thought doing A levels involved going to night school.......We made it! Things happen in threes right? Last night one of the cats didn't come home, so at about midnight I went looking for her with no success, she waltzed in at quarter to two as if that were her normal routine. I was in pieces by then....we have a strict cat curfew...silvercar please don't let your son talk to my cats!
Secondly, this morning reaching for a new toothpaste from under the sink (which I don't need as it turns out) I trapped a nerve in neck/right shoulder. I'm practically immobilised and very grumpy.
The the car...went into the garage last wednesday, should be back tomorrow....with a bill bigger than our first mortgage payment.0 -

I suppose the silver lining is that you've got your three out of the way?:)
Hope the trapped nerve isn't too severe. How will it affect your looking up at/down on me?;)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I did one of my "I know there's a route through here" outings today. I knew I could get from A to B in the lanes and went for it, I figured it couldn't be too hard as the road leads directly to the hospital and it's only 2-3 roads for me to pop out the other side .... it turned out to be as wide as my car, overgrown, dark ... and, like you find in the countryside) lots of tiny/could hardly see the junction turn offs without ANY signs whatsoever. So I did my best to guesstimate and took 12 minutes to arrive 200 yards from where I'd started

Last night, we went all the way to the chippie, 12 miles away, by tiny back lanes. My sat nav found it rather harrowing though, because she desperately needs a new pair of specs.
The best thing about my new 'home' area is that I don't know it that well, so it's constantly surprising me with its quaintness & beauty. I once wrote this part of Devon off as 'boring,' muddling it up with the region to the west of Holsworthy, which is a bit dull. No coast, of course, but if we had one we'd have all the 'joys' that go with it in the season.
Trapped nerves are a real bind. Not sure which I believe in more; acupuncture or exercises.

Here it is (link was grabbed from google streetview, so it might even work OK straight off)

It seems to have turned into a smiley icon in the middle there ... the beggar. I think I disabled that from occurring now.
I was trying to go north of there, not round in a circle!0
