I'd loan you my Fence Post Fairy, but he would take half the day to fly to your new place. Also, his tractor-mounted post basher isn't very aerodynamic.
We have a small hen house on order from this nice Yorkshireman:

What a wonderful shop. Such exquisite chicken houses, it positively makes me want to buy one even though I don't have any chickens...
Am I the only one who felt like they were trying to work in a furnace, today?
I sooo envied people in air-conditioned offices. Phew.0 -

Although I hate those plastic things I think for many they re great...I'm guessing a red mite infestation is pretty hard to get with no wood for the bugs to hide in. I do think they are too small for the number of chickens they say they cater for though.0

That isn't the poshest chicken house site. This is one of the pricier coops on offer:

Interestingly, for smallholder business users, as it has wheels, it could be classed by HMRC as 'plant & equipment,' so it could be set against tax, whereas a static house would come under 'buildings' and attract no tax relief.
T'was indeed a little 'heavy' today, but I was out in the orchard wrestling with a sheep fence, rather than sweating in the polytunnel. In there, the chillies and aubergines were loving it.
One of DD2's ferrets was supposed to be under observation at the vets in Exeter today, but they forgot to tell us to starve him first. As a result, DD2 had to bring him home on the train after work, armed with nothing more than a tote bag. (His travel cage was still in the car) Luckily, he is fairly well-behaved....:rotfl:0 -

Jeez, PN, 19!, that's the time for 9 year olds these days!

At 19 I kept my own hours.....I no longer lived at home.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I am always surprised how much people will spend on chicken houses. Maybe there is a business there, making faux palaces and bungalows for chickens.
Pity I am not handy.
OK... so yesterday was the annual shorning of the sheap (we get someone in to do it), plus all maintenance tasks... Always interesting when you have to cut the rams hair
And there are talks about that I need to learn french for work... after years of school in french, where I came out without the ability to ask for a packet of crisps in a shop, I am not confident. Has anyone actually ever managed to learn the language, I find it hard enough to use our own.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

There are lots of people making fancy fowl houses or fowl both fancy and plain, but lots and lots of them are not terribly well designed, even when well made. They are made for the people who own the chickens, not the chickens IYWIM...where the perches are in relation to nextboxes for example and the dimensions of perches etc. The ones that do both are fab: I see no reason why a chicken house shouldn't be a thing of beauty as well as chicken friendly: especially for the back yard keeper, it has to double as a garden feature!0
