Groan...I suppose i had better clarify. I went to a Roman Catholic Comprehensive school. I am not posh, I had a really good education that arguably I should have done more with. I had/have parents that have brought me up well and taught me over and above the school curriculum.

I do not feel the need to apologise for this, but I do get annoyed when people are too bloody lazy to find stuff out or themselves and ask others, hence slowing others down. I once went on a training course, it was based on insurance - critical illness, income protection and life cover to name a few. Anyway, at the end we were given a test. 6 out of 11 people were still struggling - then they were given the course book, with the answers in it - they still struggled! Why? because they didn't listen and couldnt be arsed to learn , and thats what annoys me.

Right, time for my medication, but trust me, I could go on...

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'm enjoying simple pleasure of sprawling on my bed with one of the cats with clean sheets on, with the windows that used to be bricked up with books open, and the window that always was also open. The cross breeze is wonderful, the light is delicious, and the room feels so...airy and clear now its getting less weighed down with stuff. The chickens are still clucking and the sunset is framed by cherry trees. I'm going to miss these views, the new views are perhaps a little more imposing and certainly wonderful, but I'll miss these frienly, softer hills and trees.

I've never been to a festival, gig or event. They sound awful. I don't "do" crowds, noise, confusion and uncomfortable surroundings. I have to have my little zone, that's mine.

I go to gigs but the thought of being surrounded for 3 days by smelly people has put me off festivals. I go through a phase every year where I think I want to go but then it fades when the weather warms up and I have to stand next to smelly people in London. :)

Yeah, it's better in the winter. Not only does less smell get produced but what does is kept contained under thick coats. :D

To be fair, I'd never been engaged before either... Contrary to images of people happily getting engaged left, right and centre before settling down with The One, I suspect most people only actually get engaged the once.

Or maybe there was only 1 man man enough (or with strange enough tastes?) to consider marrying me...

Anyway, one engagement is all you need. Or really none - we actually did the settling down bit before getting round to the engaged bit, really.

I only ever got engaged the once too....July 10th 1987 on stage in front of hundreds of people.

Eldest just home from work and absolutely over the moon flashing all his earnings, he has given some to me to look after for holiday, put some away for a gig he is going to on Tuesday and kept some in his wallet for his spends for transport etc this week...which in turn saves me money!

He has worked blooming hard this weekend and loves the thrill of getting paid at the end of it, he was so 'up' he didn't even mind walking all the way home (40 minute walk) at the end of the day but when I told my mum how much he had earned and that he was walking, she went to pick him up (he is working almost literally at the top of their road) to bring him home.

His face is so alive it really is a joy to see....back to earth in the morning though as he has got 6th form induction for two days!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

WARNING - do not read this answer if you have a delicate disposition.

It's a problem that can affect any animal... or even people (it did to my gran in nigeria)... a fly lands on soiled fur, or a minor scrape/ open wound, and lays eggs. When the eggs hatch, they give off a sent that other flys can smell for miles around. More flys come to lay eggs. Obviously, the magots need food. They eat the animal. It can kill a sheep in 48 hours.

There was a massive fuss a few years back about a technique called "Meusling" - I think ir involved removing an area of fleece from the backside of a sheep, so there was less chance of the sheep "soiling itself"; enough to make you vegetarian.

It was one of the hazards of working on "The Burma Railway". Tropical jungle is somewhere where every thing spends its time trying to eat everything else.
