Really? It just so happens I have a stack of old CD's and couldn't face listing them on Ebay...I know a 10p is a 10p but it would take hours to list them all. The furniture was hard enough going ...how many questions???? All sold though and all at a 'profit' yay.

Now will my neighbour mind the shimmering CD's? I was sitting out back and could hear an annoying tinkly tinkly sound....like tin can lids knocking together. Noticed that my very suburban neighbour has gone all spiritual and has hung windchimes in her tree next door. I tried to ignore the sound....so it just got louder, even pushing the hum of traffic into 2nd place.
I may have to have a word when I go home......how annoying they were...the pitch was quite painful after a while.

I agree with your comments re wind chimes fc123. I can't abide them!

Regarding using the cd's as sun catchers, it can be a good idea. But as a music fan, can I pretty please grovellingly request that you use the rubbish ones for such a decoration. It'd be a shame for something valuable/sought after to be put to such use, & from an artistic point of view, criminal.

    How about a charity shop?

Don't worry LJ....many are burns of existing CD's and we used to have them in the shop. Also, many are really bad freebies from the MOS (I have already confessed my addiction to an MOS purely for LJ, recipes and horoscopes).

I just found a stash of vinyl uner the eaves..I thought it was in the loft at home (?).

I think we'll get one of those gizmos to transfer vinyl to PC.

    VINYL!!!!

I think I'm a music snob unfortunately. But I'm passionate about it.

I'm having a couple of days off (in a sense). I went to see American: The Bill Hicks Movie the other day. It reminded me (I didn't need reminding) of how brilliant and funny he was. Pure, pure, pure genius the fella! Still sadly missed. I've pulled out my Bill Hicks cd's. I look a right idiot walking to work giggling & bursting into what appears to be spontaneous laughter in the street!:o:D

    :wave::kisses3:wageslave.

Not for definite. I'm aiming to firm up the itinery over the next 5 days (inbetween work, & the world cup naturally).

North wales/canaerfon & surrounding areas appears to be one place.

    Eastbourne & battle is another.

    Longleat is a possibility.

Hadrians wall is a significant possibility.

Pastures New put up a map around wookey hole/cheedar gorge which looks fun so is quite likely too.

I want a seaside place, but can't settle on where to go seaside-y...

Will probably do a few local(ish) days too (in the west midlands/shropshire areas)
