Sheep watch: Dufus the Ram decided to headbutt a metal gate. The metal gate won, and it trapped Dufus by the horns, whereupon Dufus pushed itself right to the corner where a screw caught it so tightly that we could never pull it free.
Plus, the screw was about 1/2 an inch away from its eye.

So we called Fire & Rescue, and they sent the Animal rescue squad out. 4 massive blokes. And... a certain amount of brute force later... Dufus is free. And eating. And looking sheepish.

So that was what I did this evening. 2 1/2 hours, and the fire brigade for one idiot sheep.
Oh tomterm, poor you, how worrying! (t everyone else: that's part of why I dislike sheep :o)

Here we started utting the chicks out in the day time yesterday. They seem warm enough utside but in the evenings back in the kitchen they had, both yesterday and today, waited under the lam surprisingly early in the evening. Once they stop waiting for the lamp they can start hardenng off a bit. getting them in and out is only going to get triaker, its unimaginable they came out of tiny eggs now. Pet, for example, is a little larger than a quail.

Alison is looking worringly male today:(:(:(

Ultimately however you read the signs I suppose you never know till they are adult. Even professional sexers get it wrong sometimes.

DH hs just been reading some of the politics threads in here and is amazed in ''our''...(some of our :))capacity for argumentative ''debate'' .

I hold we could argue about ANYTHING, (whether we agreed really or not)....DH says we must, as a group have a single point reference....e.g. this forum is alright to spend time on. I hold we can even disagree on that.....

which one of us is right?

If you get two economists in a room together, you get at least three opinions. Therefore, I think that you are both wrong.

    Thank goodness you're getting that.

I've had a slightly less comfortable month than I've been used to and when I had my physio this month (no more injections as the trial was discontinued by new consultant, but I still get physio) it has been great relief. Although I muddle along broken, you notice the improvement of not having problems more than the awkwardness that emerge while you try and take pressure of sore places doing certain movements. Getting in and out of the car without yodeling this weekend has been very much nicer!

Yep! I finally plucked up the courage to go back to the doctor and left feeling like I had wasted her time but she did refer me to the local physio service.

Local physio however, has taken my back seriously (the doctor had added it onto the referral as an afterthought - the actual referral was for the shoulder I injured in early Jan) and called me on Friday. They have a neck and back specialist come once a month where they do an evaluation and then, if need be, you are sent up to see the consultant, if not, you carry on with local physio.

I've been doing the yodelling today every time I had to get in or out the car, move to the side, hell most movements today!

The following week is looking almost as busy....Monday 25th I have two appointments, my work focussed interview with the lone parent advisor and a physio appointment for my shoulder and the Wednesday (the same day my TMA is due in), taking my dad for his appointment at the big hospital to check on his progress since the strokes.

There will probably be a few more, they do tend to work that way...especially with the problems eldest is currently having with his legs (I've put it all in the disability section so as not to bore everyone here!).

Middle son's temp did go down to 100 degrees F with the ibuprofen but peaked up again when that wore off....not looking good for school in the morning and yes, I have done the checks for meningitis (did parent panic mode as he said he had a headache :rotfl:)
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I have to agree with your other half, sort of.

After the happy holiday thing for Sue, I thought we had, as a group, found a point of reference, a touch stone, a line in the sand.

I have decided it is a bloke thing, the ability not to move on......

Sorry if its not the reaction that you want, but that has really made me smile.

I think if the other place had the virtual footfall and more dynamic nature that here has I'd probably want to go there instead as it is less argumentative. I have to admit also, that while I find the economy fascinating, I can't be bothered to argue about house prices any more. If something else happens and they rocket skywards or fall through the floor then maybe. Maybe its those lurches back and forth that make reading about Liz Jones so appealing.

Managerial types hate it, if you tell them nothing in life is certain - it is all a matter of probabilities.
