When we found out we both felt guilty/failures to begin with but we talked it through with each other and pretty soon concluded that since there was no way we could have known, it was fate rather than failure.

You are really not to blame. Eventually, there'll be a lot more genetic testing of potential parents, although precisely what people will do with this information is not clear.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Just back from doing a boot sale.....£108.55 in profit!

Back is killing me, middle son is complaining of being cold (very unusual, wonder if he is sickening for something) and youngest bought more than he sold.

    But very very happy.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

    Hi Sue,

Great news! You need to get a cuppa, put your feet up and watch the last 10 laps of the Monaco GP, its been a good one.

Tea has now been made, had some food (I cheated and had a Rustler burger which was sitting in my fridge) and managed to catch some of the last 10 laps...chuffed for Webber, he has always had the potential but lacked the car, oh and he is a huge speedway fan (I even saw him at the British Speedway GP last year) which always goes down well with me.

Now all we have to do is unpack the car....think eldest can do that, he has spent the morning being a teenager and watching the television.

Yep, middle son was sickening for something...he fell asleep when we got back (which is very unusual on its own) and on checking his temp as it is so unusual about 30 minutes ago, had a temp of over 102 degrees F.

Think it's going to be a long day and night.....

Oh Sue, can't you for once just have a day where everything goes right? I hope your son feels well soon.

I'm happy Webber won too and my Aussie rels will be absolutely stoked. I can't remember which other driver on the grid said (before his winning streak started) that he was too old and should retire - can anyone recall? - I'm so pleased for him to be leading.

    Tell me about it!

I'm now stuck with a boot full of my brothers stuff which I also had to sell for him and was going to drop off at my parents this afternoon....he has now told me to take it to a charity shop (as if I have the time for that this week!)

Going to be a busy busy week this week with eldest having 3 appointments alone, 2 of them at the big hospital plus an appointment for me at the local physio, a meeting at youngest's school, study and preparation for my TMA the week after next...and goodness knows what else!

I'm not going to know if I am coming or going.....and if middle son is still not right in the morning...nightmare!

    Thank goodness you're getting that.

I've had a slightly less comfortable month than I've been used to and when I had my physio this month (no more injections as the trial was discontinued by new consultant, but I still get physio) it has been great relief. Although I muddle along broken, you notice the improvement of not having problems more than the awkwardness that emerge while you try and take pressure of sore places doing certain movements. Getting in and out of the car without yodeling this weekend has been very much nicer!

SingleSue, take care of yourself. Hope your son is better in the morning.

Sheep watch: Dufus the Ram decided to headbutt a metal gate. The metal gate won, and it trapped Dufus by the horns, whereupon Dufus pushed itself right to the corner where a screw caught it so tightly that we could never pull it free.
Plus, the screw was about 1/2 an inch away from its eye.

So we called Fire & Rescue, and they sent the Animal rescue squad out. 4 massive blokes. And... a certain amount of brute force later... Dufus is free. And eating. And looking sheepish.

So that was what I did this evening. 2 1/2 hours, and the fire brigade for one idiot sheep.
