Help. Three USB Broadband Dongle Software Needed

    Certainly with the Vodafone dongle you don't need to use the software and as they are just about all made by Huawei I suspect it's the same for all of them.

    You do need drivers and a dialup connection though and the simplest way to get those set up is to let the software install although it is probably possible to get hold of the drivers and info needed for the dialup and do it all manually.

    I hate the Vodafone Mobile Connect software so I just unistalled it. That left both the drivers and the dialup connection in place so I just added a shortcut to the connection and connect manually (right click connect). I also had to disable autoplay to stop VMC being reinstalled. Doing this removes the annoying image compression which you can't turn off with VMC Lite.
