It isn't just "in store" but ONLINE, so make sure you go via a £back site as Quidco and TopCashBack have a £50 cashback - which you would also get!

Only applies to the LLU Premium & Pro subs; not Standard (so worth subbing to Premium anyway as it's cheaper with the phone credit than Standard you can always downgrade once you've got your perks).

    See my features/net-cost summaries at
    http://cid-99aa6cf1226facfe.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/o2%20Broadband%20-v-%20Be%20There%20Broadband

And if you haven't yet got an o2 PAYG then get it via Quidco and get paid a £1 to take it, ready to get your £50 credit.

I purchased O2 broadband offer few weeks back and got this offer.
2 month free and £70 quidco cashback (validated).

I am waiting for MAC code from Sky to port to O2.

Can anyone advice me, if I can keep current offer (or) cancel and go for this new offer.. which is better offer?.

If you got £70 you must have chosen Premium.

My current net-cost spreadsheet (link above) says first year net cost:

If you already have an o2 mobile which you have on contract or which you would top up at least £10/qtr anyway = £20

If you would need an o2 mobile PAYG that you would top-up £10/qtr (and then have £50 of extra credit on it too) = £60

    (If you didn't have an o2 phone = £130!)

My net-cost spreadsheet from last month (sorry I don't leave them all online as it would be confusing) says that the deal you got works out at

If you have o2 mobile = £30 net cost
If you have o2 mobile PAYG & would top it up £10/qtr but not use the credit = £70 net cost
If you dont have/want an o2 phone = £80 net cost.

ie only £10 in it between the deal NOW ON and the deal YOU got.
AND the deal you got works EVEN IF YOU NEVER USE YOUR MOBILE PHONE, whereas the £50 is only worth anything if you would make £50 more o2 mobile phone calls that their credit would cover!!!

So my advice w/be get that MAC ASAP and get enjoying o2 Premium on the deal you have.

So assuming you are USING the credit you put onto the phone you are comparing
£20 net cost with new deal (assuming you made an EXTRA £50 of phonecalls!)
    with
£30 net cost with your deal (and no need to make any extra phone calls to use a new deal £50 credit).

So I'd stick with what you've already got if I was you.

Thanks you again.. Will keep the current offer then, finger's crossed that I can get quidco £70 cashback.

Initially I ordered O2 Premium broadband £10... I thought this is for 12 months, I can't downgrade to £7.50, but I noticed today I can change the package to £7.50 tariff..

Is this a case for anyone?

You just need to log-in to your a/c online in the www.o2.co.uk then My Broadband a/c and Change My package section and see what it offers YOU personally - it can/will vary depending on how long you have been a subscriber and any past regrades/changes.

I'm not sure we've worked out the rules they apply, but from memory:
    a) You can regrade up at any time
    b) You can regrade down once every 3m or so
    c) IF they are offering FREE months to new subscibers they have sometimes in the past ALSO offered them to EXISTING subscribers, even during their first 12m paid commitment BUT it has usually meant starting a FRESH 12m paid commitment on the new package (with the first n months being free) so just be clear if the site says you are staring a fresh 12m paid commitment or not!

Remember the £12.50/£7.50 STANDARD tariff has a modem SYNCH SPEED cap of 8Mbps, and fewer perks (fewer online SMS/McAfee).

If you blagged higher £back referral then you MIGHT want to play safe and wait for that higher £back to be paid before downgrading ? (We haven't had reports of people being declined after a regrade but maybe no-one has or has noticed, and for your £back safety - and even ethically - you might want to delay?)

(No idea about the latest joiner offer of the £50 o2 mobile credit whether they ever will offer that to refreshing/regrading subscribers.)

We bought an O2 connection to the internet.

It has worked kinda decently after the first month. Before that we just fought a lot with the connection itself. We did not receive too excellent customer support, though we visited the O2 store several times. I really hope no one else has had these problems.
