I don't think I would ever find use for a steamer. If I'm cooking veg it's normally in a covered glass container in the microwave with a lid or clingfilm over it - pretty much the same effect.0

I have an aluminium steamer which fits on top of my pans. I't's not used much, but how do you cook Christmas puddings without one?
