Exactly Baldur. Those of us who previously enjoyed 'fee free' cash withdrawals with the original Cirrus Cash Card outside of Europe are now faced with a 1% 'fee' should we 'upgrade' to the Visa Debit.
Unfortunately still seems like one of the best deals out there for now. Sign o' the times I guess

The changes only apply to the Flexaccount Cash card and not the Flexaccount Visa debit card.
The Visa debit card continues to be commission free for cash withdrawls outside the EEA. They do however pass on fees incurred by the card scheme providers (Visa). The fee is currently 1% and it will be included in the sterling amount shown on your statement.
The Cash card is being replaced between June - Sept by the new Cash card+. Changes to this card means it can now be used to make purchases in shops both in the UK and abroad, but it can no longer be used to make a cash withdrawl from overseas.
If you have this type of card switch to the Visa debit card A/c for 1% charge of cash withdrawls from overseas.
Still the best deal on the market in my opinion.0
