Please report this matter to the police. You'll get a crime reference number which you will be able to use in your claim on the insurance.
As steady eddie has said, this will mean that you become a statistic - and steady eddie has said the rest!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
My son had his bike stolen after he left it unlocked(!) we managed to find out who had it,he had resprayed it,and my son got it back-the kid got a caution but no allowance made for the mess he had made of it.
Try explaining how crime doesnt pay.0 -
We live across the road from a park and I think someone has seen my children on thir bikes and has seen them bringing them home and specifially targerted my house.
I believe in what goes around, comes around!0 -
Thats disgraceful .. at least the bikes were closed up in the back yard .. around our way I would love to go out at 3AM with a trailer and pick up all the kids bikes and toys lying in the middle of the road or blocking footpaths and give them to someone who actually appreciates the value of such items.
Definitely go to the police .. there may be a problem in the area, they may actually know of other cases attributed to someone and be able to recover the bikes ... they may do nothing but as someone else says it should make it easier to claim back on your insurance.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
An update...I came in tonight and there in my hallway is my daughters bike, my son who is sleeping out tonight has left a note saying the police have brought it back....great....I don't know how they knew it belonged here as I had not got round to marking it and thought it a waste of time reporting it, maybe my son can explain tomorrow.....yipee!!!0

Brilliant news!
We went out this afternoon and were saying bye to my Mum and we suddenly noticed our picnic bench was gone from our front patio!!! (we are a Hotel) We are gobsmacked that some people have walked off with a full size picnic table!! What gives people the right to take things that others have worked hard to pay for??? :mad:0 -

After all the posts on here saying please report it to the police and you still say it's a waste of time.
Waste of time them posting it seems. :mad:0 -
So glad you got a bike back, My garden shed was robbed last year, they took 2 lawn mowers (1 didnt work hehe) but that doesnt matter it made me feel really violated I left the shed after that and the cheeky swines came back for my hose pipe the next night
The shed has now been burnt and I keep all the outdoor'ys stuff under my stairs, pain in the bum but least its still mine!!!
By the way, someone up the road saw 2 men taking 2 lawn mowers on the "back lane"(as we call it) at 6AM.......yea thanks!!
Have to feel abit bitter as I once gave evidence against someone who on the said back lane was carrying away stolen goods!!!!
What comes around goes around.
