Use Crosscountry's Ticket Alert service, give them the details of your journey and they will e-mail you when the cheap tickets are released

I need to be in Newcastle for around 12:30pm on February 21st next year. I will be leaving at anytime on the 22nd. The cheapest return fare I can find (from Chesterfield) is £58 which is loads and I can get to London for less!!
Arriva Crosscountry is only selling tickets up to 24 Jan for travel on a Saturday and 18 Jan for travel on a Sunday according to National Rail Enquiries booking horizons.
Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place
  • There are still some cheap tickets available on this offer:

£5 London - York singles for example... might take some searching and journey splitting but a big saving if you have time.

Underneath the option for railcards, there is an 'advanced options' button, click that and it allows you to enter a promotional code.

That said if you're trying to use the code LTTL5D to get £5 off, I can't get it to work?!

LTTL5D is a very old (more than 1.5 years) code. Not sure how it has ended up on the voucher code sites again?
