  • I need to book for train tickets from Crewe to Edinburgh Waverley on 24/12/08 returning 27/12/08. The cheapest I can get is £300.30 (5 adults and 1 child, one railcard). Any tips on getting it cheaper please ??

Bookings for Christmas are not yet released. If you wait a week or two, you will be able to purchase advance tickets.
Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place

http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/ are running a promotion of £5 off any rail booking priced at £6 or over.

To get an individual one-off discount code you have to register via the link on their site and book by 6 November. Travel can be later as long as you book

200,000 codes are available - no more when they have gone

Doesn't seem to let me register because they already know my email address. "Already registered" link goes to a "timed out" screen. Llamas.
  • worked for me on 14th Oct - even bought 2 tickets with the discount! Many thanks for your help.

Same thing happened to me. I've just booked tickets on the Virgin site and got them £10 cheaper than from Qjump, who were charging £49. I should point out that the journey is partly on Virgin and partly on National Express, so well pleased.

Does anyone have the 3 passwords from Sat-Mon Scotsman for cheap(er) National Express tickets?

Do the T&C state you have to take the papers with you? (In which case does anyone have any spare papers? I live south of the border, but have a pending trip back to my homeland!)

    Thanks

Just found out I've got to do Hull - Birmingham this Saturday morning - cheapest price I can get is £17 per person, likely due to late notice, but anyone any ideas how I can get even a couple of squid off, tried to find a money off code but can't.
