    Can't anybody help then?

Time is of the essence given I only have until Thursday morning, ideally we'd have our tickets a little in advance, is it my mistake? Should I have posted this in another thread?

I'd really appreciate any help, but to be honest just some acknowledgement, from what appears to be a friendly forum, that I exist would be a good first step! ;)

Cheers for any help or anything :)

I fear that's the cheapest you will get it booking as late as this. It might be worth playing about with split tickets at say Birmingham, or maybe not. It will cost you nothing but a little time to experiment to find out - that fare you've got can be bought on the day so you are not going to miss out on it. Ask for a saver return.

    Hello everyone!

I'm new to this forum and to England in general, I'm going in September to Manchester as an exchange student.

I need to get from Stansted Airport to Manchester Oxford Road on September 13, leaving after 15:00. I'm getting £54 fares from TheTrainline. Is there a cheapest way to get there?

    Thank you!!
    JJ

Buy a YP railcard - £5 discount on another forum page. Then..

    Stanstead to Nottingham - £23.05 (trains at 1825 & 1830)
Nottm to Manchester - £5.95 for 1840 train, gets in 2039.

    Hi can anyone help me?
I'm looking for the cheapest fare for the following journey

sat 8th sept Birmingham New Street - Paignton
    to
sat 15th Paignton to Birmingham New Street

4 Adults Return preferably a direct route, and also needs to be First Class.

Virgin trains quote the first class price, but none of the other rail sites do.

    Please help

Buy cheap standard tickets and pay £10-£15 each for a "First Weekend Upgrade" on the train, tickets subject to availability but better than paying hundreds and realising no seats!

Also, no catering facilities except shop so you will have to go to shop at weekend for free coffee etc.

    not worth it IMHO

Can anyone help me find the cheapest way to get from London to Manchester by train in November? I need to travel outbound from London on 16/11/07 after about 4pm (but can be flexible) and return on the 19th (again, can be flexible on times). All suggestions greatly appreciated!
    2015 comp wins - £370.25
Recent wins: gym class, baby stuff
Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j

An advance single is £25 outbound and £12.50 coming back.

    These won't get any cheaper.
