This is a great wee tip for people who travel to work after 9am and buy daily tickets like myself. Just halved my travel for the next 2 weeks
I travel after 9am Mon-Fri so a weekly ticket (7days) costs £19.90 which is good for people starting before 9am or anyone that uses the train for 7days. I travel after 9am so 5 x £3.80 = £19 saving of 90p. With this offer I can buy all my tickets for half priceFree stuff is GOOD stuff0 -

Train operator East Coast has re-launched its successful 25 Reasons campaign to offer its customers bargain low-cost First Class fares for just £25.
Following its success last year, the campaign starts on Wednesday 14 March until Monday 19 March, when customers can book one of 100,000 First Class one-way fares to any destination across the East Coast route.
For example, customers travelling the 393.5 miles between Edinburgh and London can travel in comfort and style for just over 15 pence per mile.
By visiting the dedicated web-page www.eastcoast.co.uk/25reasons, East Coast customers can take advantage of the fantastic deal and book tickets for travel between 10 April and 31 May inclusive, excluding 4-7 May.
The 25 Reasons marketing campaign, has been shortlisted in the Travel Marketing Awards, which takes place on 22nd March, for the Best Email Campaign. The campaign highlights the many great reasons to travel First Class, such as the complimentary food and drink service, free Wi-Fi, a dedicated quiet coach and a more spacious and relaxing environment.
East Coast Commercial and Customer Service Director Peter Williams said: “Thanks to this fantastic value for money £25 one-way fare this is a great opportunity for our customers to sample the delights of First Class travel for less.
“Due to the improvements made to our First Class offer in May last year, we have seen a significant increase in First Class passenger journeys, which rose by 21% between the end of May 2011 and 4 February 2012, compared with the same period in 2010/11 – representing an additional 253,000 passenger journeys in First Class.
“So, with our First Class one-way fare promotion, there has never been a better time for our customers to sample some of these improvements, such as our delicious

Hi there,
I hope this is the right place to ask - I didn't want to start a new thread.
I'm really struggling to find 'cheap' tickets (return) between Cheltenham and Peterborough - leaving pm of Thursday 3th May and returning Monday (bank-holiday) 7th May (pm).
I've tried to split the route into singles to Chelt - Birmingham etc but it's not any cheaper, or more.
The trip is working out at £60-£70. There are some slightly cheaper tickets, but you arrive between midnight and 1am, via London which is totally inflexible. I'm not a big fan of daylight, but those times are stretching it!
I thought this would be sufficient time 'in advance' but these ticket prices have sky-rocketed in the past 5 years, and this isn't much cheaper 4 weeks before the day.
If I try to get a bus it's 6-8 hours which is crazy for a 3 hour journey.
Can anyone help with these ticket prices, and can anyone suggest who I can complain to? It will probably completely fall on deaf ears....
