the way i see it is that in marriage that the saying

'whats mine is yours and yours is mine' and inclusive of debts, it doesn't matter whether he cheated on ur or not the debts shud be split down the middle so if he is getting of lightly then that is not right either!

i'm sorry but when u said muppet it sounded like you were out to get what you could.

    Will

Remind me again who broke the marriage vows

So...whats mine is yours and whats yours is mine matters, but the proper marriage vows dont.

I dont understand your logic there, sorry.

I hardly think cleanspringy has gotten off lightly - having your heart broken is worse than oweing money! I'd rather be in debt by a million pounds than have that happen to me
Was debt free... then went travelling!

Will, I think you are being thoroughly out of order.

If I came along tomorrow and paid your debt off for you without discussing it with you first, do you believe that I would have recourse legally to come and get it back from you?

Marraige vows dont mean sod all once you break "foresaking all others" as far as Im concerned.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

  • whos being out of order. i totally get the forsaking all others.

I started this thread just to find out if the threats he has made to get the money back from me were worth the paper that they were written on.

its five months on Saturda and I am still trying to be the diplomatic one, it was just nice to have sumint go my way for a change thats all

good for you cleany. At the end of the day, they chose to pay the loan off, no one forced them to do it. they should have checked with tiher solicitor beforehand I would have thought.
