Sorry I haven't been around today and haven't caught up :o

I got a phone call asking me to go along to school about stuff James has been posting on Facebook. To cut a long story short, there is a girl in his class who he has a love/hate relationship with. I've asked him before not to be friends with her as it's not a healthy relationship, but she is constantly texting him and stuff and he's easily led.

He had a big bust up with his best friend a couple of weeks ago because this girl had said his friend had been slagging James off and calling him !!!!!! and gay, then she told the friend that James had been slagging him off. I'm friends with all of them on Facebook, so I explained to him how she was playing him and his friend off against each other, and that his best friend is more important so they should make up and just ignore her when she says one has said something about the other.

She's been trying to break them up again, but they've been ignoring her. Then she posted something on his wall saying James doesn't have Raynauds and everyone thinks he's a liar and an attention seeker. I told her that he does have Raynauds and it was a shame she was saying things like that.

She was on at them both again yesterday, so he posted on Facebook last night that he hated her and didn't want anything more to do with her and his friend joined in.

Got a phonecall from school this morning. Apparantly the girl is so distressed over what James wrote last night, that she can't come into school today and the mother wants James punished. The headmaster only had edited copies of what James and his friend wrote yesterday.

Been through Facebook and all the comments she wrote about James have mysteriously disappeared. There were comments calling him names, the liar comments and comments slagging me off because I can't afford to pay for him to go to an expensive gym club that she goes to.

I know James isn't innocent as he should have wrote that he hated her last night, but now she's made it look like she's the innocent party in all of this by deleting all the things she wrote.

Head was very patronising and basically told us we were crap parents for letting him go on Facebook, other internet chat stuff and xbox live.

I'm not banning him from Facebook as he likes the games and talks to my brother and SIL and looks at pics of his cousin that they post. He's had a poor relationship with his Dad in the past, but they both chat to each other on Facebook and that's helped him a lot. I'm not banning him from it and undoing all that work.

Told him to think before he types next time and not to have anything more to do with the girl. Told him if she contacts him or speaks to him anymore, he's to totally ignore her and not reply at all.

Really annoyed about it all as school have sided with the girl based on her edited evidence and they are not willing to listen to the whole story.

So because of all that, I haven't got my essay finished, so I'm going to be burning the midnight oil once Charlotte is in bed :(
Here I go again on my own....

I'd complain to the school. Do you have notifications of comments she's made in your email? Does James?

kindof, well you never know but personally I'd play it safe and stay away from really greasy/heavy stuff. obviously everyone is different but the last you want to deal with in the middle of contractions is cleaning up sick! (I've been there, trust me :o)
