you are far too young to wear that.
I doubt you'll find a nice enough dress with sleeves, go for a shrug/stole/pashmina/jacket.
don't worry about length, get it altered
Do you want a big-ish dress or would you be more comfortable in something more like you would traditionally wear for a christening (have you seen what some wear these days? more like what gypos wear to appleby!
Thank-you. :A
What sort of dresses do they wear, show me pleaseeeee?Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
oh finally getting work sorted
and
as its only 5 weeks to go...
definitely working every other sat/sun and 2 days in the week. going to shop on the 12April to sort it all out with the manager. feel lot more positive bout it all. and on sat i left Kian with MIL while he was awake for an hour and he was fine and so was she. so hopefully all going to plan albeit different days than i wanted but i look on it that i'm lucky to have a job in the current climate so its
all round.

MDW, I'm not the best to advise on weaning as I'm not very up-to-date, sorry. Reckon I've done it all wrong.
Hi Af and MFD.
You at work MFD?
Yup!
I wore a Laura Ashley dress for my wedding. In silver lace, it had a little silver lace jacket-type thing to go over it if I got self conscious...but I didn't in the end - I was glowing all dayangelfairy wrote: »hello

Beenie, just ignore feely, she has an OH that pays for everything, yet won't get out of bed and help with the kid. So in essence she is a single mum, with free flowing money.
As for the social class thing. Since when did dummies become the latest underclass accessory? Ah but then they probably would FORMULA feed.....
You may be lower class (as am I) but at least your life isn't obessed with letting a child suck on your t!t until it's 9 (which is what feely would do and I think borders on sexual abuse)
POISON!!OBESEITY!PLAGUE!!
Ah but Feely can blame it on her medication so she won't get lynched like most other folks on the forum.never-in-doubt wrote: »Can I ask, as a neutral to this thread; albeit a lurker (cos i've got mates here) - is it normal for you to be such a b!tch or do you go to college and train to get a first?
I mean, you sit there in your high-and-mighty throne but little do you realise, you're actually a total waste to society and really have no right to think half of what you do! Tell me, what do you contribute, exactly?
You need to climb down from your soap-box and get a grip on reality - and when you're there, you'll realise that starting on the nicest people on the thread (beenie/Buttons etc) will alienate you even more than you already are.
You're a shame to society - now wind your neck in and go chill out!
Beenie - just ignore the silly remarks made - you know you're better than thatI think you've had a lot of support through difficult times from people on here, who I would say have been friends to you.
But each time you come on to start an argument for 'fun', the amount of friends and/or people who respect you decreases.
Both Quality responses.
Late to the argument again. Work keeps getting in the way!
Yes workinmummy works, which damages her children
I try to be supportive to everyone on this thread, and that included Feely the last time she went all woo is me and disappeared for a while. But the responses to Beenie have left me extremely . I would not dream of disparaging any one in such a way. Yes this is an open forum and as it says in Money Makers signature, we all read things we don't like, it's part of internet life. But such inflammatory remarks and superfluous comments are upsetting and obvious attempt at attention seeking. So well done, you have managed to anger some of us again. I'm sure that Beenie has enough to cope with in her life to not spend too much time, letting your ignorant remarks irk her. But by god, some of us just can't help getting wound up.
and have no meds to go blaming it on.
I need to stop now. I really do. Or it will be me that doesn't fit in.0 -
I was going to comment on the recent "debate/argument/bi5ching " that was going on but thought best not to as it seems to have finished now.madwoman85 wrote: »I just want to ask a quick question about weaning... Jacob is now 23.5 weeks old an I began weaning a couple of weeks ago...
He started off with baby rice, moving on to carrot and swede puree... He has had weetabix over the weekend and had a taste of crumpet and toast... I am going to give him a bit of banana for lunch today too...
Just wondering what foods you used in the early days and also when is it ok for him to have yogurt and also meat? This is all very new and scary to me!!!
Hiya!
Christopher is about 30-something weeks and for beakfast he munches on toast, readybrek made with his formula, banana, muffin, melon....tryin to think....
lunches consist of a heinz custard or fruit puree/baby spaghetti and a sauce, butternut squash, sweet potato, mash potato, or fruit, baby rice
dinner - he has what we are having and if its nto suitable (too muhc salt etc) then i whip up some puree veg, or baby pasta and a sauce.
he nibbles on (whispers ginger nuts) , bread sticks, mini sandwiches with cream cheese/jam/butter and raw veg - cucumber, carrot etc
thats as much as i can think of now, but im sure there are a lot more!!!
hope this helpes!! xCarla-Farla!!
