Dylan hates the watering can !! Thats what the physios use in his hydro therapy to get the kids to lift their heads and he just screams and throws a tantrum when they do it !! S they now use a PINK FLOWERY squeeky thing for him !! lol He seems to love it lol

Caitlin loves swimming, so hopefully Rhys will too. If you're not going to lessons, take a couple of toys - for example a bath duck (as long as it floats) or something like a mini watering can. Throw the floating toy a little bit out of his reach and then help him move towards it so he can grab at it. The watering can is good for getting babies used to the water - sprinkle the water in front of him, then a bit over his head. Caitlin also finds it really funny when I blow bubbles in the pool.

He's only been swimming once and was just awestruck by it He's good in the bath though - OH almost always does bathtime and he uses a little pot to pour water over Rhys. He used to say "head/eyes/arm" etc just before he poured the water over parts of Rhys so he had time to close his eyes, but now he doesn't and Rhys is fine. Now he's got his new bath seat, he's too busy playing to notice, I think! :cool:

Just thought... I wonder if OH would be the better one to take Rhys into the changing rooms (no family/mixed sex changing rooms at our pool). He'd probably be a lot quicker at getting the pair of them dressed! Maybe he could take Rhys and get him sorted in the time it'd take me to get dry and dressed then I could meet him at the door and occupy Rhys outside while OH gets sorted in record time... hmmm.

im yet to take jayden swimming but im abit worried about my saggy belly (dont worry ignore me ) x

Elle - sounds like a plan.

I impressed Katie tonight - I had a practice run with the rabbit jelly mould and it worked, it came out of the mould in one piece.

So it's all systems go on the jelly front for her birthday party.

Mine turned into the exorcist at the mere notion of swimming.. It took 2 of us to bath most of them.. one to hold them down and one to scrub.. mine think they are made of rice paper.. I think they are related to the wicked witch of the west!

I bet Jayden will love it!

jayden doesnt like bath so im not sure but swimming is something i feel everyone should learn x

I'm to feared of all the water leaving the pool when I get in it !!

Jas has had swimming lessons in the shallow end, so need to get her booked in again for the next stage up as she loves it, but doesnt like putting her head under the water and thats what you have to do in the next lot !!
Think I will have to keep taking Dylan when his hydro finishes as its eems to be helping him loads so I dont want him to go backwards if he isnt getting it anymore !!
