    I've joined the group.

I keep meaning to ask, is 3 the OP of the names list on the other group? I wondered if the list could be updated to include everyone who posted after the list, so that all the names are together. Does FB allow post editing?

And we should add the link to that thread, in the new group
  • Morning all :D

EA - do you have kindofs mobile number ?? If you do, you can give her mine if she wants a chat. Thats what happened with Dylan and I have been through it all. There are lots of reasons for it, the main one being a thing called TTN which is fluid int he lungs but normally sorts itself out within 2 days, or there is the other options which is persistent fetal circulation which is what Dylan had.
Anyway, all I meant was that if she wants to talk t someone who has been through it with their baby - she can have my number if she would like it xx

    Aw, what a lovely offer!

You invited me ... you should know who I am :D:rotfl::rotfl:

First conversation with Alice this morning:
    A: Mummy, is it Sunday?
    Me: No.
    A: Is it Saturday?
    Me: No.
    A: Is it Friday?
    Me: No.
    A: Is it March?
    Me: Yes, it is March.
A: First it was January, then it was February and now it is March.

I think she's better at months because they don't change so frequently.

lol I think I ate about 500g of choc a day in my 3rd tri so 30g would have been easy to keep up :)
I have a feeling dark choc is good for B vits too.
I wonder how much you could 'hide' in chilli if you don't like it, although if you got really dark ones they're not very sweet at all. :)
500g a day  I think the dark chocolate is sweet but I am rather extreme - the "low" sugar diet I was advised to follow when they said I had impaired glucose tolerance was actually higher in sugar than what my regular non-pregnant and not totally gone off sweet things diet is. I wonder if cocoa powder or cacao nibs would have the same effect.
Or Ironbridge is nearby, which is lovely and may satisfy the male need for 'history' (or is that just my family?)
I like history and I'm not male.

I'm a really crap friend to have, which explains why i have very few. She's always going somewhere, just on random days out to other towns and stuff and she sometimes asks me but i just prefer to hide in my little bubble. I feel all in a stress if i go anywhere when it wasn't meticulously planned, and i'm not totally comfortable with breastfeeding in public so i tend to use that as an excuse i think.
I'm like that - I find it stressful if one of my friends phones up on the day inviting me round as I find it really hard to mentally organise myself that quickly.
    BeenieCat wrote: »
She said yeah, and that she'd thought about asking me to have her DS last week for his parents evening too, but that she didn't seeing as i'm breastfeeding.

I was like, "what do you mean? I don't mind if he's there when i'm feeding at all."

She said "no but he might, it's like a bit dodgy innit?"
How weird. He's only going to think it strange if people tell him that and he never sees anyone doing it.
This is going to sound really selfish in a way, but one of the girls I work withs Dad has fibrosis of the lungs and so is on permanent ozygen at the minute til he can get a lung transplant and she was telling everyone today that because his O2 levels are dropping htere is a chance his muscles will break down and he wont have full movement afterwards if any at all in some limbs as though this is the first time anywone had ever heard of it ... and I just couldnt stop thinking that I told them all that was what was wrong with Dylan and they havent seemed to grasp it, but yet with her dad everyone seemed so concerned for him.:(
That sounds bad doesnt it ??
I know Dylan isnt going to be that bad cuz he has come on loads, but at the time when I told them all we didnt know how bad he was going to be ..
I wonder if they view it differently because her Dad will know what it was like before and she will remember what he used to be like whereas if Dylan had been like that, he/you wouldn't have known him any different? I know it would still be just as bad for you but maybe as outsiders looking in they think it isn't.
Long time no post, hope everyone is well! I see sproglets are growing well from avvies! I have a random request.....does anyone have a grobag egg thermometer... and if so could they scan and email me the instructions? our house fairies have hidden ours.
Pesky house fairies - I didn't used to have them until I got married and now we seem to be overrun with them.

Had rows and told him exactly how I was feeling. It seems to have worked as he has been helping out a bit more and I've been getting a bit more rest.

Have cleared a paperwork and email mountain, and got my personal and business accounts up to date, so I feel more in control with that. He cleared the ironing mountain while I was at the match and has done bits of tidying, and so have I.

Going to sort out a cleaning plan starting next week, and make sure I do a couple of rooms per day to keep on top of housework during the week, so I can have more time with the children at weekends. He's also going to do more bits and bobs.
:j For the bits in bold. (And yay for the potential 2:1. I did my degree full time and I think it's amazing that you've managed to do what you have in the last three years - I can't imagine looking after two more children and dogs and working and doing a degree all at the same time.)

morning susan, the linkie last night was a combination of both things you said, but also that they seemed very good prices to me, although I haven't done loads of looking. But it seemed like a bargain and I thought of you :)

Becles You sound more positive :D. I think sometimes it takes a good row to get your point across!

Hugs hugs and get better vibes for baby Elliot.

Weezl I like your wanted/loan & holiday ideas. But I can't imaging anyone would want to come on holiday to stay in my [STRIKE]large cupboard [/STRIKE]house.

CSH I get what you mean about the freecycle greedies - but we're all nice and not like that! :AIt amazes me the amount of people on my freecycle asking if anyone has got a car/laptop/xbox going spare. Erm, NO!

It's my baby free day today, V has gone out with MIL & FIL. So its an exciting day of ironing for me. :j

Krystal/MFD Thanks for your ideas. I've emailed a list to everyone so they can decide what we're doing.

Ladies I have created the Fairy Exchange - does the link work? I have invited those who I am friends with :) (ETA: Can you let me know your username with your request to join - thankyou!)
I just requested to join but it didn't give me the option to put a message so I could say who I am. I think it's fairly obvious who I am though as it's fairly similar to my username here.

thanks NMS for doing that, YAY!

CSH if I've understood you right, if it's like my local freecycle, the wanteds that would be fine might be: wanted: single mattress (obviously not appropriate at our distances:rotfl:)

but something micky-taking is where (and I genuinely saw this!) wanted: renault clio :rotfl:or the ones where people are being too specific for it to be reasonable, like wanted: ikea pax wardrobe in beech finish, 60w, 223 h (also genuinely seen on my local one)

those would be in my taking the mick category.

    *thinks some more*

Hmmmmn although on one occasion I was really specific and people may have thought this was unreasonable.

It was where edgar lost sophie at the meet and I put a wanted specifically for a sophie :o

Oh dear CSH, perhaps I am those people who are annoying you :rotfl:

No a one off wouldn't annoy me! (much)

Its the same 5or 6 people all the time, want everything, reply to everything and take everything.

Its all blah blah I'm so poor I NEED this. It just royally !!!!es me off.

I've obviously had my judgement clouded of these things so I
think I'll steer clear anyway and if I have anything to offer, I'll just do it here like I have done up until now or send it to the person I want to have it as I have also done!
