NMS, I like the fairy exchange and would love to be a part of it please. Is it possible for it to include people posting 'wanted' messages? I feel I gain so much more from the MSE fairies, and am rubbish at thinking up what people might need or like :o.

I think if there was a wanted list it would be amazing. :)

Morning Weezl! I'm afraid I'll have to disagree on the wanted list! Its the main reason I no longer use my local freecycle.
The greed of people when they see what they can get for free then push their luck for more really riles me.

Not that I'm saying anyone of here would be like that but for me personally, I'll be staying well clear.

No Kester yet?!? What happened to the mythical 2nd bubs coming quicker with a small gap??? I was going to rely on that to avoid another 42wk pregnancy!!!!

I would even go as far as to do that thing where 2 people fancy a holiday at seperate ends of the country and need free accomodation, type thingie with my friends on here. You know like a house swap to a different city :). But that might just be me and others might find that idea a bit scary!:D

Oooooooo, yes please!!! Anyone fancy a trip to London but don't mind staying a wee bit outside of central?? - we have free on-street parking which you don't find a lot! :rotfl::rotfl:

Just got a text off her saying "not being nosey but are sure you are coping with the kids and dog as you seem stressed"

I'm actually the most unsociable person in the world at the min and i don't really like it when people 'pop round' when i'm trying to establish a school night routine.

That's the kind of thing I'd say if I knew something was wrong but didn't know how to ask. Maybe tell her you're feeling a bit stressed because of your ex but you're getting things sorted out slowly. You can reassure her without telling her too much.

I hate it when people pop round unannounced too. Our flat's always a mess and even a 15-minute warning is enough to blitz the living room and make sure there are some clean cups.
    hello!
Long time no post, hope everyone is well! I see sproglets are growing well from avvies! I have a random request.....does anyone have a grobag egg thermometer... and if so could they scan and email me the instructions? our house fairies have hidden ours.

I have some, but not a scanner that's working - what exactly do you need to know and I can type the relevant bits in?

Just logging in to say hi.

Had rows and told him exactly how I was feeling. It seems to have worked as he has been helping out a bit more and I've been getting a bit more rest.

    <snip>

Taking the boys to a chemistry lecture at Newcastle Uni this evening so they are excited about that. I studied chemistry and worked in laboratories before I had them, so I'm looking forward to it too :D

Not read back and caught up so *hugs* to all xx

I'm so, so happy for you - you sound so positive and you've been so productive!! I'm all grinny and a bit sniffly :o

Huge get-well vibes to Elliot, I hope KOAG's doing ok.

A very happy Paddy's Day to all.

We've just had a department-wide email saying, effectively, "We know there's only a third of the department not at the Berlin congress, but those of you that are left still have to come to the meeting this afternoon." Bah.

Also, I would like to announce how excellent Toys R Us are. We contacted them when our Learn and Groove microphone/record player/spinny ball stopped working, and they took one apart, pulled out the bits that were broken in ours and shipped them to us. I'm so impressed with them.

Edit: I think a wanted list might be a good idea, so long as people didn't take advantage, and a loan of bigger stuff too might also work for some, although probably not for us all the way over here :(

Speaking of which, we have a baby backpack that we could lend out, elle, although shipping it back and forth might be a bit ridiculous.

Morning Csh. Is this bacon roll group day or is that tomorrow? Let me know when suits for meeting. Mon/Tue are best days for me, but can do a Wed afternoon too. Friday would usually be ok but have a couple of weekends away coming up.

Bacon roll group today but we have jags today, finally! Then will be scooting down to RymthTime. Only once a mth here so we'll hopefully make it on time!

Tuesday will prob be best then as I have a group on a Monday and we don't really do massage on a Tuesday now and as of this wk, Friday is swimming lesson day!!!

Ladies I have created the Fairy Exchange - does the link work? I have invited those who I am friends with :) (ETA: Can PM me with your real name when you request to join - thankyou!)

Weezl - thanks for the input. I have left it totally open, so that members can post almost anything - baby items, clothes, washers, homes (lol) - I have suggested the use of the following headers
    Offered:
    For Sale:
    Wanted:

csh - I understand what you are saying about the wanted/freecycle and it annoys me too. Hopefully the members here will not abuse the system but we can always change the rules if it doesn't work and remove the wanted option.

Off to update the pregnant ladies :)

    Morning all :D

EA - do you have kindofs mobile number ?? If you do, you can give her mine if she wants a chat. Thats what happened with Dylan and I have been through it all. There are lots of reasons for it, the main one being a thing called TTN which is fluid int he lungs but normally sorts itself out within 2 days, or there is the other options which is persistent fetal circulation which is what Dylan had.
Anyway, all I meant was that if she wants to talk t someone who has been through it with their baby - she can have my number if she would like it xx

thanks NMS for doing that, YAY!

CSH if I've understood you right, if it's like my local freecycle, the wanteds that would be fine might be: wanted: single mattress (obviously not appropriate at our distances:rotfl:)

but something micky-taking is where (and I genuinely saw this!) wanted: renault clio :rotfl:or the ones where people are being too specific for it to be reasonable, like wanted: ikea pax wardrobe in beech finish, 60w, 223 h (also genuinely seen on my local one)

those would be in my taking the mick category.

    *thinks some more*

Hmmmmn although on one occasion I was really specific and people may have thought this was unreasonable.

It was where edgar lost sophie at the meet and I put a wanted specifically for a sophie :o

Oh dear CSH, perhaps I am those people who are annoying you :rotfl:

Massive get well vibes to Elliot. Thinking of you all Kindof. (((hugs)))

Quick update on the Pixiphoto. I rang bang on 9am and let the poor girl have both barrels. And now I feel bad cos it wasn't her fault but I was sooo annoyed that yet again I've spent out a load of money on something that is not right.

Anyway, she wants me to send back all the little photos so that she can get the technical team to resize them to fit the keyring. Shame I can't keep a couple of them but she wanted them all back. And she can't guarantee that I'll have them back by Easter but if I send them today they will try.

So, thank you MM :A but I won't be needing the cardboard frames now. Just keep your fingers crossed that nothing else goes wrong.
