Weezl, DS1 walked just after his first birthday, I think they expect too much of our children at times. They are not sales men, they don't have to reach targets or loose the job!
DH and I went to B&Q today to get an idea about stuff needed to convert the loft. We were stood looking at flooring stuff and this guy starts chatting to use saying 'somewhere else is a lot cheaper, is it for a loft? Those are hard to get into the loft if you have a normal hatch' etc. Turns out he is a joiner so guess who walked out with his numberBasically, he will come up and give us a quote to do certain bits, stairs, joists, roof window, check the ceiling joists etc and tell us what to get for the flooring and insulating the walls etc. So we can do it on the cheap and he gets some 'homer' cash. So we can start buying flooring and what not, shoving it up the loft and make a start.

Katie has a new game
She sits on her trampoline gently bouncing up and down and when you ask what's she's doing she says she's driving and if you ask where are you going she answers blueberry shopping! She then gets off the trampoline and comes to you to buy some blueberries.
We've given her some old keys to use as car keys to which she is very happy about.Proud to be dealing with my debts
DD Katie born April 2007!
3 years 9 months and proud of it

thanks all, I've passed all this on to DH. He's in a bit of a blue funk this evening, so I think maybe the HVs comments on top of tiredness just have left him a little low.
I shall go cuddle him now in my beach ball styleee and see if I can cheer him up
ps I'm sorry I'm not keeping up so well or knowing everyone's news. I think I find the end bit of PG a bit brain deranging! I shall be my old self again soon, I'm sure
Sleep tight everyone

The bigger the size, the more expensive per nappy so it's best to use the smallest ones you can get away with.
 That must be painful when undressing.
If tape girl was wearing what I think, it's not actually sticky like duct tape. not that I would know obviously
does this link work for you? http://www.sleepywrap.com/index.php?page=stroller-baby-carrier#intro
I also have some info about eating dark chocolate in pg helping anemia if you're interested?
thanks sami
remarkably similar to Christopher, it would appear
the not walking or talking were commented on, so DH is a little worried
But I think he's just waiting to astound us all at one go!Chris wasn't walking at 12mths either and I'm not sure he said much either, he was 16mths when he 1st went to the CM and I'm sure he was only saying about 5 words then so doubt he had been talking for long.
Harley - I'm just sorry it took me so long to send it, I totally forgot0 -

NMS- I love the idea of a FB buying/selling/free stuff group. Count me in
.
Congratulations Kindof. Can't wait to hear all the details, and I cannot believe the whoppers that this board is currently producing!
They've started a Baby Sensory class near me :j. I'm really chuffed as I've wanted to go for a while, but I am a right old lazy bum and can't really be bothered to do anything that requires much driving! This one is gonna be 10 minutes walk away and we have a place starting in April. I think H will be just the right age to enjoy it.
Anyone looking for baby clothes, tesco have loads of stuff half price at the moment. I got H some jeans, joggers and T-shirts very cheaply today. They also had some very nice girls stuff which I stood and looked longingly at.
Harley- while you're on, or anyone else in the know- how did you find Pixifoto? I think I'm going to take H down to have some done tomorrow but I just wondered how horrificly expensive they work out :rotfl:
We got our Antilop today and I think it was a hit:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Do most people use bottles for all drinks then?
I did wonder, but our Dr/hv's are at a surgery in the centre of chav-town, so she's probably more used to them swigging from bottles of Lambrini!
She was going through her list of 1 million questions, and got to the 'Is she starting to use a sippy cup?' one, and looked up to see V drinking from her cup all on her own and was very impressed!
Weezl If HV is trying to impress her assessors, she didn't do very well!
At our 1 year check last week she wasn't the slightest bit concerned that V wasn't walking at 13 months, and didn't even mention speaking. She checked that she was standing supported and taking the weight on her legs, and that she made noises like mmmmm, dadadada, nananana.
L walked at 9 months, and I think she was born talking (and hasn't stopped yet!), J was walking nearer to 18 months. V will be somewhere inbetween, when she's ready.:beer:0
