Can I have honest opinions please? I was telling my neighbour about the whole work thing, and she seems to think the reason C doesn't want to be apart from me is because I'm BFing. Do you think that's possible? I didn't think it was that. I've sent EBM with her to the CM but she wasn't interested in it.

I doubt it. I think that you and C have a lovely bond because you're such a good mummy. C might feel better in a nursery where there's more to distract her, but I do think that some kids just don't fit with some people and maybe C and the CM are not compatible. I was a little bit :o:( when you said she texted you to tell you things weren't going so well. Why not call?

Thanks Weezl :) How are you feeling about it being almost time for the birth?

My ML started 25th May 09. I did mention that to my boss, but you have to give so many weeks notice in writing I think about whether you intend to take it. Am waiting for her to get back to me.

Yes C is same with OH. She's ok for 5 mins or so if I'm there, but then wants me again.

pp that's weird, my work assume you're taking the full 52 unless you've given 8 weeks notice otherwise...

I thought that was the law, but I don't know much :o elle and ladybird have a background in HR.

Have you got accrued leave and statutory days you can add on? Or can your boss grant you emergency dependant's leave or parental leave?

You can have 5 weeks a year parental leave if childcare arrangements fall through IIRC...:o:)

just wondered if it could be different surroundings rather than the people there?
what about trying Oh to take her out the room a few times a night maybe for a minute and then bring her back in to show that you will come back? the gradually build it up after a few nights? i can sympathise as lewis was awful as a baby, we went to drastic measures though and went away for the weekend and left him with my sister lol! this was more to stop the feeding than separation but it worked for both!
What's for you won't go past you

Can you add parental leave onto the end of Mat leave?

I'm trying to think of ways of you keeping your job open if this is just a temporary thing?

PP, I breastfed and co slept with Aimee until she was 3, she was always quite happy to go off with anyone, didn't give a monkeys if I was there or not lol...

Keeping your babies close to you helps them to grow up feeling confident and secure that you are there. When she's all snuggled up next to you, using your body to warm her and your breathing to regulate her own and your heartbeat to soothe her she feels protected and happy. Anybody that tells you that you're doing something bad can go swivel!

excited and nervous all at the same time.

I think as long as I know fergie is with someone he's happy with then I'm good. (half hoped it would be this afternoon cos then he'd be with the child minder and then my mum with no awkward transition, but no sign!)

My main thought that I'm going to cling onto is fergie actually. I want him to always have someone who loves him even when me and DH have gone, and that's what I want to do for him by having kester.

But of course when I meet kester he will have been worth it all for his own sake :)

Thanks for asking :) So impressed you're up for Molly siblings. You had a rough time and I really admire you (and I'm gonna cross everything you get a lovely experience this time :))

Our first outing with the sling was a roaring success, although Gymboree a bit less so. I thought it would be ok to give Molly her nap a bit late in favour of the class, but it really made a difference and by the end she was just bawling. So we're signed up for a trial music class an hour earlier next week.
did you see Fritha's link to storch (sp?) they're german sling makers maybe you could find some sort of sling meet type ting with that info...??

    yey for baby making! :D

Tia to get the tray of you need to lift the little clippy lippy bit that is on the underside of the tray that clips on to the bit of the seat that is against baby's tummy when they're in the chair - hope that makes some sense!??

That's a really nice slant on things Weezl! You know, I love that Aimee absolutely idolises Caitlyn... I'm aware that she won't always, but there's never ever been any jealousy of her, just pure adoration....

I just had to google to find out how to wash leather baby shoes... You can chuck them in the washing machine! :D

Oh, and I have made Aimee a Hello Kitty birthday cake, I'm actually quite impressed with myself!!

I don't think it's down to the BFing, and I'd be a little peed off that the CM suggested it to be honest.
    Thanks :)

Som is at MW now for a sweep, and gym is fine, no twinges or anythig.

I dont think my baby is ever gonna come out lol

You're only 4 days over, honey. I know it is so, so frustrating but try to relax as you might still have a while to wait yet.
