Thanks Jenny i think you're right.

Argh, this is doing my head in lol. I saw a Raleigh in JJB but it doesn't appear to exist, he said the model was "Skunk" and it was £109 which i thought was cheap for a Raleigh.

But in Halfords they had an ex display one of these: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_264655_langId_-1_categoryId_165602 for £80 which technically is a saving of £100??

Or should i stick with brand new??? My budget is about £100, and we're going for 20" pref. with gears (thanks to Mr JJB who talked DS into needing gears *rolleyes*)

Someone make my decision i can't doooooooooooooo it :(

Sorry, i've been rambling on about this bike for yonks. I am so anal when it comes to buying big stuff though, cos i'm scared i'll make the wrong choice!!

Ex display would still be new and you'd get a guarantee like you would with any other one you bought.
Its just been sat on abit and ridden around the shop. :)

Did you get to look at the ex-display one? Was it ok, would DS be annoyed if it was a bit scuffed? I can't imagine there would be anything wrong with how it works as bikes usually last ages, the reviews are good.

    opinion time please

OH has suggested both of us working 4 days a week so J only goes to creche for 3 days. He earns less than me so I suggested he try to drop a day completely & I will work 4 long days as my wage is higher than his so we'd miss my lost day alot.

    thanks

hope you get this sorted if it helps your family life!

all this talk of flexible working makes me annoyed - was told before I left that my job is full time and office based so no flexible working for me :( but it did occur to me if I ask, knowing I don't want to go back, and they refuse and I know there are no other roles suitable, do they have to make me redundant (and pay me likewise?!)

their special request is fish and chips - since they're visiting Grimsby! Sorted! :D

was in Grimsby at the weekend and we had to also go down to Cleethorpes to see the sea and have fish and chips :)

Lou66 says her laptop is broken so she can't get online much but is up for the meet on Wednesday. She wants to know where we are going to meet. Shall we just meet in the restaurant so whoever gets there first can get a good table?

sounds like a plan - did I read somewhere from half 12 or did I imagine that?!

    Always -
Elle can probably give you better advice, but I don't think your employer has to find you alternative work or treat you as a redunancy candidate. It would be your responsibility to come back to work under your original contract or resign if it is not suitable and they can't/won't find you anything else suitable. However, if you believe they are not being reasonable and have forced your hand to resign, you might be able to claim constructive dismissal - but that's just my guess so don't rely on what I say. Do you think they are being unreasonable and your job could be done on a job share basis or something?

I can't make decisions either, have to do loads of research for even the smallest purchase. :o

Talking wipes, I usually get the Simple ones as these seem best for Erin and they are currently on offer in Sainsburys but every time I go they have run out of them.
