Oh my god I cant believe I forgot to rant about this, While E was having a screamathon before I had him on my hip and went to get hi bottle out of the fridge and the freaking door fell off!!!!!!!
I ended up ringin OH in tears cos E was driving me crazy I didnt have a clue what to do about the fridge! so he managed to nip home and screw it back on but I think we need a new fridge and totally cant afford one, its gonna have to go on CC
so we are left with a dilema, do we make do with a normal fridge (that still cost about £300) or do we go all out and get our american fridge we want? (as I would hope a new fridge would have a long lifetime IYSWIMDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Kindof - why don't you try asking on freecycle? They're quite often being given away as it can cost to get the council to pick them up. Might tide you over while you save up a bit more/give you a bit more thinking time for the one you really want.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

Personally, and it might just be me
but if your going to have to put it on the CC I'd go for the cheapest one suitable rather than paying out even more on credit to get an american style one. We have one because I got it through work for a bargain price but their not very efficient if their not full all the time and it take's a lot to fill them! Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
Beenie, I had mine taken out when I was 27 and the pain really was horrendous, and lasted well over 2 weeks... I think I would have thought twice about having them out if I'd have realised how bad it would be... And I was getting full blown bacterial tonsilitus 4 times a year and viral about every 4 weeks (or when I slept in a draught) Start taking paracetamol and ibuprophen in cycles as soon as it starts to get bad, and drink water as hot as you can handle it... Was about the best I could do...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I kept getting told beforehand 'It's more painful as an adult to have them out than a child' and thought yeah right, it won't be that bad. How wrong was I?! And afterward's when I truly felt like death people would look at me funny as if to say 'You only had your tonsils out, kids have them out all the time!' :mad:Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
Kindof - sorry to hear about your fridge, We have just had to replace our freezer because it broke last week...we have gone for an American style one, but tbh if there were only 3 of us I wouldn't have bothered. Fact is in just over 2mths we are going to be a family of 6 and I found I was starting to struggle a bit anyway with space in the fridge and freezer (only at the beginning of the week though lol) On the other hand, like you say, it should last and therefore if you add to your family you won't have to worry about fridge space:) i also HATE replacing like for like, so couldn't bring myself to pay £200+ on an almost identical item.....pm sent too:)Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Thanks for your opinions guys
I hate having to make big decisions lol, the fridge freezer was here when we moved in and I hate it lol, the freezer is so small, you cant even fit a pizza box in it!!!

My mam suggested maybe its time to put him in his room in his cot with the monitors on? what do you guys think about that?
...
Kindof, just in case you don't already know the nhs recommends you keep babies in your room for the first six months to reduce the risk of SIDS. If you can fit a cot in your room that might be the way to go or at least try before you resort to a different room. You might find that Elliots breathing gets quieter as he gets older as his breathing passages get bigger.
