Oh just off the phone from my mum, and because I know you are all sooooooo interested :p
My sister has managed to get from India to Nice and is trying to get to Paris in the morning to get over t London, but all of the French train drivers went on strike today !!!!!

    Bloody French! Ha joke btw!

I've been worried about OH's army friend getting back as hes been on a tour of Iraq since Sept and was hanging about waiting to get home! Hes desperate to see his wee girl who was 1 a fortnight ago. We are pretty sure now that they were picked up by the Navy in Spain but just waiting to hear!

Omg MM, flippen train drivers, that shouldn't be allowed!!!

I've always taken Erin with me to give blood over the years. There's special stickers they get saying 'my Mum gave blood today'. And she likes the cakes.

Apparently there was no problems in getting to Spain or France. Sis went from India to Dubai to France and met loads of people heading to Spain to get a boat !!

Sami - I had you down as a do-er, not someone who sits back and lets someone do things for/to you *shrugs shoulders*

That's interesting, MM; someone I work with was stuck in Moscow since last Thursday - lots of visa issues so this morning they flew to Bahrain. They now can't get a flight to the UK or France before next Wednesday! So sister did relatively well I guess :p

    That's good. Alice loves stickers.

i'd encourage people to donate platelets. It's dead easy and doesn't have the unpleasant side effects of gving blood if that puts u off.

Elle, thx for asking. Yes, it's an internal role that's basically a promotion. Think it will b really weird, as i hate interviews at the best of times, but it's my current boss and all the questions are going to be about stuff he full well knows the answer to! Hazards of a small organisation, i suppose. No idea if this will all turn out how i want, but i kinda figure it can't hurt to try (and the worst that can happen is i go back to my old job).
