SM, actually no part of my post was giving you a hard time for working part time and getting TC !!!
I simply said that I work really hard and am penalised by the govt for doing so !! Because Chris gets incapacity benefit he is not classed as a stay at home dad and therefor I do not get anything extra, however if he got JSA we would get more, but when he is not looking for a job, why go on it ??

I dont agree with you not claiming for money you are entitled to because you dont want the hassle, as if you are as broke as you say and as broke as I am some months, you take everything you can and just make sure that everything is recorded corectly and keep notes of everything

Sorry, that sounds harsher than I meant it, but at the minute, money is a bit of a sore subject

Thanks Glam! Will have a play on Wednesday, hopefully it's there when I go to get Rhys after work.

I did a very dumb/clever thing today and realised if I take the seat unit off our parent facing pushchair then close the frame, I can put both in my boot together and it's much neater and the parcel shelf fits back in... I've only been putting it in in one bit for the past two months and missing out on seeing out of part of the rear window! :doh:

what is wrong with not wanting to be on benefit ... i have fought quite hard so one day i could at least not be worried about one problem .. (overpayment on benefits) ... yes i do have tight months and maybe i sound more dier that maybe i am but i have no where to off load it to apart from philip x

Dont get defensive, I said sorry at the end of my post as I knew it sounded harsh. If thats the way you want to do it then thats fine for you, all I am saying is that if I was able to get benefits of some sort to make my life a little bit easier, I would take them with open arms

You might not want to be on benefits but if you are entitled to it then why suffer and have no money?

If I was entitled to something I would definitely take it - my post was saying that I pay over £6k a year in Tax and NI but when I'm low on money because I am contributing to mankind's survival I get nothing back!

i know sorry myself but as i say this is second convo of this today so im quite sore on the subject myself ... but i cant afford people to give me money then whip it away from me again ive paid back over £1100 to benefit people in less then a year and the idea of going through that again is my worst nightmare .. i just would never wanna risk it x

You do realise WTC and TC are benefits and you seem to happily take them so your stance on other 'benefits' to which you may be entitled reads a bit strange to some people who are struggling and would be glad of extra money.
