Csh you could be right lol but he is surprisingly patient with her, she'll be screaming and he'll just be singing her songs and trying to show her toys and stuff to calm her down, and it takes him ages before he gets fed up lol he's such a lovely big bro.

Maz a few people have said the dream feed makes them wake earlier.

I've never tried getting Amber in any kind of routine, i just let her go to bed when she wants whether it be 9pm or 1am, and she's always slept til morning. I think it's time to try getting a bit of routine going here though. If i put her to bed at 7pm like some people do, she wouldn't sleep through, so later works for me.

I was going to get one of those bath seats for H when he is old enough my friends has one and she says it's good but what put me off is one little boy got stuck in his i think he tried to put both legs though one gap and he couldn't get free. In the end the fire brigade had to cut him out. I can't remember where i saw it. I think it was on the news. The woman complained to the company for poor design but i don't think she got very far with them.

Walking to school: I lived across the road from my primary school but mum prob still took me over. I was allowed to walk once at high school over a mile away so i was 11-12 yrs

There is a boy a few doors away from us that goes on his own and he is 9, again it is about a mile away, seems to take me forever sometimes. There are 2 main roads but have several crossings. Still i don't think i would let my boys go at 9 too many alleys and such.

I am off to my first parent and baby group today. It starts at 10 but i don't want to be the first there so i will go in a bit. I am a bit nervous. Wish i could have gone sooner as ds2 is 4 months now but he just hasn't been well enough. There is something about mondays that he likes to go into hospital. I make some new friends.

Not surprised, misuse isn't technically a design fault. DD wedged a roll of sellotape onto her chubby little thigh and had to sit in a bath of water til it went soft and I could manipulate it off. I never complained to anyone :p

Don't be nervous, you'll be fine! I never started going regularly to any groups til K was 3/4 mths (apart from massage) cos I find it too boring before then. I waited til he was able to interact with other babies and play on the mat and stuff and a few others were the same. There are a few cliques at ours but nothing major. Good luck!
On that note I better shift as I need to be at the church for half 10!

Later works for us too Beenie. Rhys has a bottle at 9.30-10pm then goes to bed and sleeps until 8am-ish :) Sometimes earlier if he's woken up by OHs alarm but we need to sort out the lighting in his room (aka me find his lamp :o) then we can close his bedroom door so he'll hear less ;)

I'm not a morning person at all so if she was up for the day at 5am or something my poor son would never see me smile :rotfl: I'm better on a night, more patience!

edit - actually i think me being a heavy sleeper helps, my ex stayed once and heard her twisting on the morning, but she went back to sleep and i was oblivious. She woke me up a few hours later though when she really wanted fed

Whyyy does she puke half the BM up after a feed but she didn't puke at all when she had a bottle last night  She doesn't like my milk :(

    such as Lydia dustbin?

I love the name too.. it makes me think of frogs as well for some reason..

Alice is a lovely name.. but I already have an 'A'.. actually we have 2 as OH is 'A' as well.. I usually have a name or 3 in mind by now but I am really struggling with this one.. and I asked the children for ideas.. so we have Zelda, Starjiggy, Scoobydoo, Vlad, Droobleface and Link to choose from... I think they weren't very helpful!!!
:rotfl: actually I quite like Link
If we have another boy I'm gonna stomp my feet until OH agrees that Caleb or Noah are nice names :p

Bit of a panic this morning. Josh got ready for school and his trousers wouldn't fasten. He came downstairs and they had been pulled in slightly with those button elastic thingy's, so I managed to let them out and they just say fit! He was standing in just his pants, and I noticed his body is looking more manly than boyish - scary!

:eek:It's scarey isn't it Becles. J stayed at Mums on Saturday night for the first time in about 18 months. She said yesterday when I collected him, she got a shock when she helped dress him - as he's getting to be a big boy. ;)

oh one question i'll catch the answers later ... how old is enough to walk to school on there own .. i know shes to young now but shes bugging me for an age x

L nagged me from about Zoe's age too. She's finally been allowed in the last month or so. It's less than half a mile with our road to cross, and one other road with a lollypop man.

Plus a boy and a girl from her class live around the corner so she normally waits for them to come past, then joins them to walk. And school phone you if they're not there by 9.15 and you've not phoned them first.

She's walked home from school from a few weeks before but that was because of J's transport changing so he's getting home at the time I should be at L's school. :( She wants me to collect her this week because OH has got a week off so he can be here for J.

It's really grey and dull here today :( i'm blaming OH because he's got a week off, and he's took the hard top roof off his car. :rotfl:

ooo am I really first on? Weird! We had an okay night last night, but best of all was he stayed asleep until we got him up at 7! :T It's been 6ish for the past couple of weeks, so even that 1 hr really helps :D.

Beenie, we have a bath support like that, but I prefer our other one which is like a soft thing that he lies flat on (there's a pillow under the head that keeps it just above the water level). No idea where it's from as we got both off Freecycle. I found the other hard plastic one kept him too out of the water so he got cold easily.

    Happy Birthday Chris!!

    Morning all
Up at 6.30 and checked the forums a few times but you were all quiet :p

Thanks to all for scooter comments. I will do some more research and maybe even *gasp* go to a shop.

Baths: I think we moved to just using the big bath with my hand under his head or chin, at around 4 months or so. He really really enjoyed it - much happier than he had been in the smaller baby bath.

I meant to say something else I have now forgotten.

3 - are you watching the wright stuff? you've contributed to merseyside being the place most likely to produce a baby out of wedlock *shock* :p

beenie - maybe she likes you milk more and stuffs herself so then chucks up a bit
