    worth a try tho!!

got any old mobiles??? i looked on a recycling site through MSE and one of my phones sitting upstairs doing nothing is worth 100 quid to them!!!!

went looking at nursery's today, didnt like it :(

going to look at childminders, but no1 knows any local so its just a case of taking a risk.

this childcare thing isnt as easy as i thought!!!

Got one Samsung U600. Mazuma says its worth £8.

So brassic, after paying insurance excess after my stupid car accient. Plus extra childcare costs this week, due to stupid school holidays! Should not have gone to Next Sale, should not have gone to Next Sale! Keeps repeating in my head.
Roll on next Saturday. Payday. Yay :T

Can't help with the childminder options on your side of Wigan. Can't even ask my CM if she knows any to recommend, because she only comes into contact with those at our side, at school and at local Surestart centre. I think I got very lucky with mine. She is a star.

What don't you like about the Nurserys?

There was only one nursery we could go to, the others dont have places available until the end of the year, but they just didnt seem very bothered. i know a nursery will be messy but it looked dirty to me. and not alot of things to do. it didnt strike me a cosy like nurseries ive been in in the past.

there was kids and babies sat looking pretty bored !!!

phoned another one and she gave me a ridiculous figure for daily amount and she said we dont prepare food so you'll have to bring your own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive heard of taking nappies and wipes but what happening to nice healthy meals cooked on site ?!?!?!?!

Nunu apparently has its own cook on site. But have no idea of costs.

Joe didn't take to the Nursery environment, cried the whole time. But then thrived at the childminders. My Best mate though thought her son did better at the Nursery when he was a baby. They are all different and unfortunately it's a case of trial and error. Not good for us "working mummys" who want to have trusted, loyal, capable and dependable, childcare in place.

If you think you might want a CM, it might pay you to go through the NCMA, a childminder network. While all CM's have to be registered with Ofstead, its a lot harder to get into the NCMA, and they do more visits than Ofstead, and according to my CM they are a lot stricter. But she is NCMA so she might be biased ;)

I'm not happy, I have a big girl who can sit unaided and un-propped for as long as she wants and eats lunch by herself (sandwich and a banana) and drinks her milk by herself out of a cup.

Oh and I had to take the cot bumper off last night, she keeps pulling it down over her face! The boys never did that! So now I will have to keep a torch and spare dummies to play hunt the dummy (till one night I can't be bothered and she gets to go cold turkey).

    :T:T:T Go Amber!

Jack loves having things over his face. As he's been going to sleep in our bed (Still not sorted his blind :o) and he snuggles up to OH's pillow (:() and stuffs his face into it! Have to move him once he's asleep.

Aw how cute is Christopher! And Ed was very cute doing his no, no, no yesterday!

My friend is going to become a childminder - she's starting the course in May but can't have a baby til her LO is 1 (a week after J) so from September he might go to her for 3 days and Creche for 2 days as she won't charge me in the holidays! :j
But there is the problem that if she was ill I'd be fooked!

Sent my phone off today :money:

Meh, sod it. I think I need to bake a cake! We've not finished the last one yet though :(

Oh, the woman from the charity furniture shop rang back and snootily said they dont take single armchairs, and suggested that if we gave them both then they would! What is the world coming to! The bl00dy charity shop tried to upsell me on my donation!

Any ideas for getting rid of one single armchair? Offered on freecycle loads but no takers :(

Afternoon all.. I hope you're all out making the most of the sunshine, and don't read this till later ;) just popping on priefly to let you know elc has some happyland stuff on half price. I got a load of animals to top up Izzy's farm :) (we went in for a football to take to the park, but you can never come out of a shop with only what you went in for... it is written in the small print don't-you-know!)

Would be very mse. but i must admit this is why i went back to a nursery as when a CM has holidays/are sick if they have no-one who covers them yu have to take the time off work. at least with nursery its only of K is sick that he doesnt go. which hopefully wont be that often.

Our council actually has a free bulky item collection service which is free for the first few times you use it each year.
