Anyone got any tips on how to shop in asda while pushing a pram, what on earth will I do with the basket?

    either

push pram with 1 hand and carry basket
balance basket on top of pram (as long as its not too heavy!)
Use basket underneath pram rather than ASDA basket.

I tend to load J up with stuff in the pushchair :rotfl:

errr if you're driving, you can just pop the carseat on one of those special trolleys.

if you have to take the pram, I just hook the basket on the handles - quite awkward but it works in a pinch. Or if I only have a couple of things, I just set them on top.

of course, the BEST solution is to buy a sling and ditch the pram! ;);)

  • I am not sure if ignoring him is the right thing or if I should be distracting him because he is too young to understand yet IYSWIM. CM is definitely a distracter but I am a bit more lazy than that!! That's why she is a CM and I am a slack mummy ;)

He is just really loud these days :rotfl:

He does listen when I say no, well sometimes! - when I use my 'really mean it' voice. And he knows that 'ah ah' means 'don't touch that' - he says 'ah ah' back and then either stops or laughs at me and carries on regardless!!

kindof - use the car seat trolleys...or are you walking to asda?

I hate all the stuff in Portsmouth like the historic dockyard and the museums, its the most boring place in the world! But OH is from Bognor and loves it all? Its either cos we're not men or cos we live so close to it!
MM asked Tara if Southampton was near where she lived, so I butted in ;)

Oh god the museums! I went to the butterfly museum after hearing such good reviews and its essentially a house with some old food cartons and then what is a green house with loose butterflys!!
I thought they'd be in tanks or something, but no. They fly at you!

I then see their display od dead butterflys and one was as big as my hand. They said that when the butterflys die in the museum they pin them to the board, so im glad i wasn't there when this hand size butterfly died, i would of !!!!!! myself :rotfl:

Im considering taking Lily to The blue reef aquarium, but its £9 per adult entry!

I believe it does get better, in around 19 years time. :( My friends 13yo boy came out with us yesterday and he was so funny. He walked 20 steps ahead of us at all times so it didn't look like he was with us. And was horrified that his Mum kept telling him of for walking with his hand down his trackie pants. :rotfl:

that is sooooo funny my nephew has just stayed with us for a week and we nicknamed him Willie Wonker for that exact reason :rotfl:

    Thanks Glam

We tried the vari flows once lol and it seems to take him like 2 hours to feed, so we decided to stick to the 2's, so can I use the 2's on this comfort milk then?

Don't take this the wrong way but personally I'd try warming the milk he is on before trying him with other milks.
Are you giving it straight from the fridge? I'd imagine chilled milk would sit heavy in a newborns stomach.

No he doesnt get it from the fridge, we boil the kettle, then wait half an hour for it to cool (like the box said) and put the required water in the bottle, then the bottles sit on the bench (with their teats and lids on) then when he wants a bottle we add the powder to the cooled water, but its room temp cool not fridge cool?

Do you still think I should try heating them? if so how long to they need heating for? if I did it in the microwave (I know you arent supposed to do that)

    (((hugs))) Em, stupid OH!!!!

Caz - I dont drive, so have to take him in his pram/pushchair :(

Glam, I wondered if I could put stuff under, or if they would think I might be stealing lol

I await your replies on milk and teats before I leave for asda lol

EA Seth loves the Blue Reef! We first took him when he was 3-4 months old and he was mesmerised. The CM took him a few weeks ago and he loved it then too. Wouldnt bother taking Lily yet though, unless you want to go for yourself :o it would be a waste cos she is so young!

And now I really need to go poop but OH has emerged and is in the bl00dy bathroom for about 10 minutes, lush! Really dont wannt know what he's doing in there, either way it cant be good though!.

i would put it all in the basket under the pram then! i do this in most shops and get funny looks but just smile back :D

MFD we do a bit of both by ignoring and distraction but sometimes she just needs to be left, she will usually get up and then find a toy for me! her latest is soft things as she loves to cuddle them, i bought her super soft fleecy pjs and i couldnt put them on her as she wouldnt let go!
