Are they taking any action against him or have they "just" had words with you about it?

Just called us in and the head told us to ban him from Facebook. Craig said no, and said it's up to us to view material and decide as parents if he is old enough to use it. Then we got the "I'm in education and I've got 20 years experience and my children are perfect" speech. I hate that bit and it makes me feel uncomfortable.

At home, James has been warned about what he typed and been told to use it properly from now on, and I trust that he will. I wouldn't ban it completely for one minor offence on it, as I don't think that is fair.
Here I go again on my own....

Is she jealous of the friendships your son has if she's quite new and he's established?

I think so. She's tried to split some of the girls up too. It must be hard for her as they've all been in the same class since they were at nursery, so it will be hard to join in existing long term friendships. Moved schools myself during primary years, so I know what it's like! Still no excuse for what she has done though.

Just checking because two of my brothers were punished at secondary school (banned from school computers for months and one was nearly suspended) because of something which someone had done online pretending to be one of them. I totally agree that banning for one minor offence would be unreasonable. Fine for the head to let you know what happened in case you didn't know and even to make suggestions but not to tell you how you should be raising your children - they are not his children. I don't believe that what you do is the only factor in how people turn out anyway so just because his children turned out okay doesn't give him the right to tell other parents what to do - everyone has different predispositons and reacts to things in different ways.

What's she like with house rules, shoes off, eating at the table, drinks on coasters and stuff. I'm spoilt with mine :A. I don't like kids running indoors either, but toys everywhere are cool. As is loads of arty stuff but in the kitchen. And they tidy, not me. I'm a dragon!

Sorry I just disapeared earlier, Isla had a mass coughing fit and started burning up. I rang NHS direct as I thought my Dr's was shut and got told to ring my Dr's. Spoke to them and they put me through to out of hours practice who asked me to take Isla down to the walk in centre. They booked me an appointment so I wasn't sat around waiting with a little one so we jumped in a taxi and went straight there. After she'd charmed the Dr by laughing, smiling, shouting and cooing at him he agreed she has got a very red throat and a rattly chest caused by not being able to clear her own mucus. We're home now with more calpol and nasal spray and Im prepared for another long night :o

Have a good weekend everyone if Im not back on :)

And being sick in labour, I think I was more embarrassed about OH seeing me on all fours in the bath with a bowl floating in the bath to be sick in than seeing me give birth! Oh the shame, I can never show my face here again after admitting that :o:o:o
