Erm - it is 'sorting out his outfit' as she's asked on an open forum where to get one.

And I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not 'on' anything :). I just think he should get on with it himself. If that's ok with you, that is! :D

What's wrong with asking where to get one from?! She's asking for advice, that's what this forum is for!

Lots of women here have asked about suits and suit hire ~ shall I go and tell all those ladies to stop treating their fiance like a child and let him sort his suit himself?

what is the point in posting on this thread at all if youre not going either help with the specific agenda, or make suggestions?

    Exactly...

You posted on an internet forum, so you're going to get my opinion whether you wanted it or not ;)

As for expensive, i've done Blackpool many times and i have stopped going there due to:

    Expense
    There's ALWAYS trouble
It's now full of blokes as any decent women have stopped going (see above!)

The expense i meant was not accommodation but alcohol prices and entry to clubs etc

We use to do the weekend thing, a cheap b&b, fri and sat night, i'd have a £100 for the friday and £200 for the saturday (that is pleasure beach on morning, afternoon sesh and then the rest of the sat night).

That was a few years ago now mind.

if you want to go blackpool without planning in advance thats your choice if you spend all your money -the blackpool holiday V.I.P link i gave on the last page gets you free entry into all the clubs and most bars give free entry, free shots with first drink bought and bottles of wine if there are more then 6 PLUS you get money of all your meals -from take away vouchers you print off to 20% off meals at restaurants

there are loads of ways to have a cheap and chearful weekend in blackpool as i tell lots of tourists when i am out and about -and if there is ALWAYS trouble around when you go maybe you should look at yourself and the way you have come across on this forum as i can assure you there is trouble when there are lts of people around weather that is blackpool or the local pub but with the high police and doorstaff presence i can honestly say i feel safer in blackpool then i do in some pubs with no door staff etc

So even though you have stopped going, you feel your opinion is still valid?

I live in the town, and accept that stag & hen parties are a big part of what Blackpool is and I would dispute every point you made:

Expense Not true - no more expensive than going out in youe home town. Wetherspoons, Walkabout, Yates on the Promenade all have sensible pricing
There's ALWAYS trouble Your perception is that there is always trouble, but alcohol-related crime in Blackpool has been steadily decreasing over the last couple of years, the exception being DV, which by its nature is not tourist-related
It's now full of blokes as any decent women have stopped going No it's not!! Try going into any bar at weekend - you will soon see that this statement is incorrect

Well said that poster!! And no, we are not related and do not know each other - coincidentally we both live in the town!!
  • Sorry but I don't understand why you're getting involved in sorting out his Stag costume.

Let him do it himself - or let his mates do it. Surely, that's half the fun?

Why would a man know where to get a bride's dress? Unless they are into that thing:rotfl:

lol, internet warriors! Just because my opinion/experience differs from theirs, i'm completely wrong?! Oh well.

Vouchers/discounts etc Never even entered my head back then, and to be hinest, if i was out on the lash and started going through my wallet for vouchers etc i'd either:

    1. End up losing cards/money/wallet etc cause i was too !!!!ed.

    2. End up been laughed at by mates

    3. Put off potential honeys cause i'm such a tight git

And by honey's i mean young fit birds, who are not interested in money saving, just enjoying themselves.

    ;)

    Hi ladies & gents

Not sure if anyone can help my other half? Him & his friends are going to Blackpool for his stag night (he's to old to do a weekend :rotfl: ) Anyway, theyv had this silly idea for their fancy dress costumes. The men will all be dressing up in black suits with black arm bands and he wants to dress up as a bride.

Has anyone seen any mens bride fancy dress outfits. I can't seem to find any anywhere.

Its no good suggesting I make one out of a piece of net because I dont have any artistic skills at all :o

    Thanks for your help

    Chris xxx

How about a simple - cheap! - standard white dress for yer man (definitely more likely to be able to pick one of those up for him than a wedding-dress as such) and then get him some stockings and suspenders and a bride's veil - and make-up, of course :)

Get the overall effect of the bride-to-be or whatever, and certainly the comedy effect - but a lot cheaper and easier to pick up than a standard wedding-dress......

I always thought part of being a couple was helping and supporting each other. lol can't believe where this thread went. Think the suggestion of a charity shop is a good one.
    Booo!!!
