My OH's stag do

Hi ladies & gents

Not sure if anyone can help my other half? Him & his friends are going to Blackpool for his stag night (he's to old to do a weekend :rotfl: ) Anyway, theyv had this silly idea for their fancy dress costumes. The men will all be dressing up in black suits with black arm bands and he wants to dress up as a bride.

Has anyone seen any mens bride fancy dress outfits. I can't seem to find any anywhere.

Its no good suggesting I make one out of a piece of net because I dont have any artistic skills at all :o

Thanks for your help

friend of mine did this - he just got his from a charity shop...much cheaper!
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Could you maybe buy a cheapie second hand dress from eBay in a suitable size? It might work out cheaper than hiring a proper fancy dress outfit, you don't have the hassle of returning it in a suitable state too  I know what Blackpool can do to people!

    Blackpool? Dressing up?

    1. Expensive now in blackpool
    2. Tacky
    3. Quite a bit of trouble (fights etc)
    4. Been done to death.

If that's what he wants to do, then fair play, but how about suggesting some other venues?

Didn't someone post a link to the oxfam wedding shop? Lovemedo has a sale range, I'm not sure how that works out in your budget, otherwise halloween fancy dress might be on sale this time of year.

Thanks for this but I didnt really want your opinion on where he was going. Yes its tacky, no its not expensive (his friend owns the B&B they stay the night) BUT mainly its his stag night so surely its up to him where he goes....I wouldnt dream of suggesting somewhere else to go.

Hi i live in blackpool and yeah it is tacky but most of the people who come to blackpool come to have a laugh, dress up and have a great weekend there is just a small minority who come here and start fights after drinking all day then fighting at night as they can not handle their drink but 99.9% of tourists are brilliant and come to enjoy themselves.

if your friend has a b&b here you may already know about this card and may be able to get one that lasts all year as we can get them if we are local if not this is the holiday v..p card http://www.localvipholidaycard.co.uk/index.htm

also look on the net for things to do juring the day if they dont want to be drinking all day (but lets be honest its a stag night so its probable) buy the wristbands for the pleasure beach online for upto 50% off, and again if ur mates friend owns a b&b if he takes a utility letter to the sandcastle water park you can get 50% off the price as you are 'local'

hope he has a fab time :-)

Try these places for local hire:

    here
    here
or here - this one has an Ebay shop but is on the Prom near the Manchester

Let us know when they are going & what they end up with, so I can keep my eyes open for them that weekend!!

ask people to have a look in their lofts, youd be surprised at what people leave.

let me know if you find one cause thats what i want for my hen weekend!

You posted on an internet forum, so you're going to get my opinion whether you wanted it or not ;)

As for expensive, i've done Blackpool many times and i have stopped going there due to:

    Expense
    There's ALWAYS trouble
It's now full of blokes as any decent women have stopped going (see above!)

The expense i meant was not accommodation but alcohol prices and entry to clubs etc

We use to do the weekend thing, a cheap b&b, fri and sat night, i'd have a £100 for the friday and £200 for the saturday (that is pleasure beach on morning, afternoon sesh and then the rest of the sat night).

That was a few years ago now mind.
