Free voicemail trick no longer works on T-Mobile

Hi all,

Just a warning to anyone who might do this but I called my own mobile number to access my voicemail and have been charged for it. I think before it came out of your allowance as a mobile call but it looks like now they are wise to it.
Just thought I'd mention it for anyone who might currently do it as a trick to avoid being charged for calling the dedicated voicemail number on their phones...

I think now I'll use the office phone and pin code to retrieve my voicemail messages instead

Oh dear! I just signed up to an 18th month contract with T-mobile, not realising I would get charged 12p a minute to listen to my own messages which is outrageous!

I was relieved to find out about the trick of calling your own number from your own mobile...but apparently according to the guy who started this thread, this no longer works....how disappointing.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does it really not work anymore? Are there are any other tricks anyone knows of? I can't stand paying so much money to listen to my own messages!
