Thriftylady wrote:can't go wrong with the Bravissimo website and catalogue ! and best of all, since they specialise in big sizes they never make you feel like a freak for needing one, not like M&S...... grrrrr
they don't have a huge choice of maternity bras, but they do have a good choice of sizes...
Greetings, fellow Bravissimo girl! Don't you just love the fact that their catalogue comes under 'plain packaging'...as if the fact that you have Enormo-Boobs could be a shocking secret!
I had this problem in my last pg, but unfortunately the size that I ended up after milk-wagon landed last time is the size I'm up to already this time, a mere three months in...
It's worth having a play with chriz1000's fab Figleaves Discount Method if you're shopping for maternity bras/knick-knacks, though - I've been using it for a few months to knock prices down to size, but it's just too disheartening now - the number of available bras in my size has been mercilessly whittled down and I'm left with six to choose from...*sob!*
Hope everyone is fine and keeping cool in this heat - feels all blowy in the NE tonight, think a storm's a-coming!

Just read through rest of thread - ooobedoo, that's wonderful news - hope the rest of your pregnancy is blissful & stress-free. :T
Any further news from the ladies with squattees, winnie81 & essexhoney?

Hi all!! Well, I'm 26 weeks tomorrow and really struggling in this heat!!!!!!! Keep feeling light-headed, sooooooo tired and generally good for nothing! How are you all doing??
We've had 2 scans which say we're expecting a girl (got 2 DS already) but I'm feeling really uneasy about buying stuff!! Does anyone else feel like that?? We're decorating the rooms (2 boys going to be sharing) over the next month or so and have ordered some girly (ie pink) stuff from Next tonight for the baby's room - but I still wonder whether I should be doing it yet!! On the other hand, I don't want to leave everything til the last minute, I want to enjoy my maternity leave a bit aswell (if all goes to plan - I'll have 4 weeks off before baby arrives!!) Also got to think about xmas shopping - don't fancy doing that with a new baby - mind you, I don't fancy doing it at 7/8 months pregnant either!!
Just wanted to have a bit of a moan to those who understand! DH doesn't really appreciate how hard I'm finding things at the moment!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Dd was due to land at the end of Jan (neatly coinciding with dps birthday!) & I didn't fancy the Christmas shopping either - I did it *all* online, and have done every year since. I wouldn't go back to high street shopping now, and particularly not in the run up to Christmas, far more hassle-free to shop around from home to get the best deals & then let someone else bring it all to your door!
There's actually a rather fab 20% off Early Learning Centre Discount Code floating about at the moment so (dare I admit this??) I actually started my christmas shopping the other day...they've got a sale on at the mo too (discount doesn't apply to reduced price stuff), free delivery on orders over £75 and there's 4% cashback through Quidco too. :j
I'd never have been this organised pre-MSE...wouldn't have had the cash to take advantage, either!

Well I'm gutted. I went to town yesterday to try and get some maternity clothes (Sheffield) and the selection available (I walked from Atkinsons to Marks) was shocking. So many shops didn't actually stock any and I was told Meadowhall, Meadowhall, Meadowhall grrrrrrrr I dislike going to Meadowhall at the best of times lol (grouchy old witch that I am). I did however get a couple of maternity bras from Marks which are soooooooo comfortable (I was really suffering in the boobs area!). So at the moment I'm trawling through ebay looking for stuff lol (I hate paying full price for stuff....it's the MSEr in me)0

Been feeling a bit dodgy for the past couple of days. Head feels funny, and I generally feel knackered. However, bean doesn't seem to be suffering as I get regular kicks.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.

Morning all, took me a while to catch up on all the posts. Welcome to everyone is is newly pregnant and to everyone else of course. Good luck for those TTC. Lets hope you join us properly soon.
A quick question for those experienced mummies or is there a midwife amongst us? Olo (Our Little One) has I think been lying on one side for quite a few days, well I assume that's what he is doing. Despite either lying down, sitting in a chair or walking my left side of my belly feels very hard, whereas my right side is spongyer. So I guess the bulk of him is on my left. On Thursday and Friday he was very very active but yesterday and so far today he has quietened down. I get the odd kick so not too concerned.
Is it ok for him to be lying in the same side for days, he used to move around a lot from one side to the other. Its not even that he is too big to move about as I'm only 21 weeks, so he should have plenty of room still.
Sorry this sounds a daft, worrying about nothing question, but its nice to know.
Thanks

Sorry musey, I just thanked you instead of quoting!
I live near Hull & had the same experience, so duly pottered off to Meadowhall with a similarly preggy mate - and nada! One frock each from Hennes Mama range, and that was it - everywhere seems to have sales on, and I just can't be doing with trawling right now!
T'internet has been my salvation - lots of eBaying like you (found fab seller doing Gap Maternity in big girl sizes) & Dotty P online has some really nice maternity bits at the mo (most of it online only, there's cash-back through Quidco & going in that way also brings up a 10% discount screen.)
The most pleasant surprise this time around has been that is an Asda near me has finally rolled out the v. nice George maternity line - everywhere else seems to have had it for ages! :T
Having overspent with abandon on incredibly grim clothes last time have pretty much limited myself to black jersey dresses in a couple of sizes, easy to dress up or down & just as wearable in winter with giant tights & wellies...:rotfl:

I just saw in Matalan yesterday they have quite a big range of maternity and nursing bras. Maternity bras were £7 and packs of 2 nursing bras were £9. :jCould you do with a Money Makeover?
