I make a basic lamb stew.
Lamb chops, onions, carrots, celery, pearl barley. Stock is just seasoned flour and water.

I've just had this for diner tonight.

    YUMMY

Do you chuck it all in at the same time?

    How much stock? What kind?

What heat and for how long?

I really am a complete beginner to any kind of cooking lark!!!!

Yep. Thats why I like this recipe. Throw it all in and eat later. :D

1: Throw it all in. Slice carrots thinly so they cook quicker and the meat should be falling off the bone.
2: 2 tbsp plain flour, salt & pepper, mixed will a little water to a smooth paste. Fill up to a pint with boiling water plus 1/2 pint more, pour over chops and veg.
3: Medium/Low for six hours. ( You can cook it for longer if you have time)

Straight from the packet and I just guess. :o Never really measure anything its more of by sight.

I'd probably say about 2 tbsp. It does plump up and helps to thicken the gravy.

    How long to cook for?

They cook in about 2 hours, just make sure that a knife goes in nice and easily to test if they are cooked, good luck

    Hi GG,

I do a recipe very similar to Rikki but add tinned tomatoes. There's an existing thread on cooking lamb chops in the slow cooker so I've added your thread to it to keep the ideas together.

Consider adding a tin of butter beans and last time I added a bottle of pommegranet juice which had been hanging about for some while.

Rikki - it was totally scrummy.

Mr GG was amazed that the meat fell from the bone and all this from a wife that can even burn toast.

Thanks for all the other tips, I shall add them to my recipe stash!!!!!

Am sooooo loving my SC. Its the bee knees.
