Now that sort of attitude does not endear you to people and you are less likely to get any assistance - which means you may get very, very, hungry.
Perhaps you own mother could help you?
Fair enough, I agree was not particularly nice but your first post merely antagonised the OP. Wasnt exactly helpful was it? More along the lines of "I realise you are skint but now going to rub your nose in it cause its your own fault". If you dont want replies like the OP gave you perhaps you should try and be more constructive with responses.:smileyhea0 -
Phil,
have you tried to have a chat with them and fully explain the mix up and how you were not intentionally trying to miss the appointment? Maybe best that if these are monthly that you put them in your diary in advance so that you know roughly when they are. I realise some people dont realise how sh*t things get when you practically do nothing all week apart from look for jobs and try to amuse yourself the rest of the time. It gets to the point where you dont know which day of the week it is. Hope you get it sorted out.:smileyhea0 -
Actually, I suggested a crisis loan - and bigPhil78 was far ruder than I. And I am very glad I don't have to beg for my spending money. That's what working for a living gets you.
Are you for real?? I am in the unfortunate situation of currently being unemployed, prior to which I probably earned more money per annum than you ever will. Do you also put me in the beggars boat? You clearly are very young and have little life experience - correct me if Im wrong....:smileyhea0 -

LOL, yep you are very wrong, and how on earth can you make the assumption that you earned more money per annum than I ever will? What a ridiculous statement - especially as you are unemployed and I am working and earning a very good wage. And while we are getting our facts straight, I have been unemployed - and I managed to attend every appointment given to me by the DWP as I knew it was important.
The simple fact is, if someone is that dependant on tax payers money then they should make damn sure they make it to appointments, it's not rocket science. It is interesting to note that bigphils comment was perfectly acceptable - despite the fact it was a personal dig, whereas my comments about missing the appointment (which is factual) are not.
Not entirely surprisingly, all the digs on here have been from unemployed folk.
Just before I go, perhaps Chris_M would like to tell everyone on this thread why I made my comments about spending money and put my comments into context? I notice he has kept that very quiet. I wonder why?0 -

In that case if I am wrong and you are a mature adult then you should be ashamed of yourself making such utterly ridiculous statements about people begging for money. If you had read my earlier post you will note that I stated that Phils comment to you was not particularly nice but stand by my remark that if you are going to come onto a benefits thread and make stupid, smug comments, wind people up and just be generally nasty then perhaps you are going to get some back. No one was suggesting that Phil should have missed his appointment but a bit of compassion to assist rather than kick the guy when he is down wouldnt have gone a miss. Very sad indeed.:smileyhea0 -

Oh please! Perhaps if there was less 'there, there' and a bit more swift kicking up the jacks, there would be less people 'starving' on here. I save my compassion for those that genuinely need it.0 -

I think so - now if you'll excuse me, I am off to work. See the thing is if I don't turn up for work they don't pay me.....ring any bells with anyone on here?0

You seem to be deliberately looking for an argument, why I have absolutely no idea. Are you trying to impress someone?
Perhaps you should look at the forum rules, specfically 9.2.1
