    Well done on the NSD!

I keep forgetting to buy some lentils! Did it work?
  • Well how I'm actually still awake after all my running around is beyond me :j

    3.30 - picked kids up
3.50 - walked them to dance class and then came back home
4.30 - drove to pick DD2s friends up and then dropped them off at gymnastics and collect DD1
5-6 - cooked tea and made lunch for tomorrow
6.30 - body combat for an hour

Well shattered just even reading that back ha!!

Yes Bob I quite enjoyed the class tonight... never thought id hear myself say that!!!

    SA, thats amusing :rotfl:

Louby, it did indeed!!! I was in the kitchen when DD's ate theirs and they didn't bat an eyelid. Now I wasn't here when DH ate his but he hasnt said anything. Im not sure if I could tell with the texture but I did have wholewheat pasta with mine so it could have been that.

So I now have 2 emergency meals in the freezer for last week of food budget. Hot beef for baguettes and bolognaise.

Ive just done my Mr T's order and it currently stands at £60 so will see if it increases if amendments need to be done. Budget is £70 for this week.

    Hope all ok xx

Hi M2G - glad the lentil trick worked, it saves me a fortune!!! None of them ever notice a thing, honestly, lentils are the best - never tried oats though Bob, might need to give that a whirl too!

Glad it all seems to be going well M2G - you're making great progress!!

    xx

    Afternoon Diary,

    Payday here.... enough said

So a good day today, payday happiness obvs! Car flew through its MOT only need to pay the £48 fee. Has advisories for the back tyres which I did know about but still ok for now. Also came in £7 under budget on the petrol.

Now for the expensive bit! I had set my farmshop budget for meat at £45 for the month, including potatoes, meat and eggs... Spent £37 in there today  Will probably monitor how much I spend in there and might have to up it a bit. I bought 10 chicken breasts, 2 fillet steaks :o, 2 packs of bacon, 2 lots of eggs, 3 sausage rolls, 2 cornish pastys and a sack of potatoes. Next week should only need a couple of chicken breasts so should even out.

DFOD, you should try it! Last night I made a comment about how nice my tea was just to see if he said anything and he didn't! This would have been the time when he would have said.

    Laura, thanks Laura!!!

Oh other good news is I've lost my 2lbs from over December so back to 12lbs in total now. Just 2lbs to get into the next stone bracket.

    Food:
    Breakfast - weetabix
Lunch - cheese and mushroom omelette with beans, yoghurt
Tea - Sausage, mash, carrots, cabbage and yorkshire puddings
    Snacks - Kitkat and banana

Thats all from me. Need to go pick DD1 up from after school club soon.
    Hope all ok x

Sounds like a good haul from the farm shop. Out of interest would whole chickens be less expensive than buying breasts? Sometimes works out that way.

    Evening Diary,

Just had a massive go at the kids for the state of their bedrooms and the other rooms they go in. We ask them to move something and they end up leaving the room without said item. Anyway they're both in their bedrooms sulking, I'm sure our ranting won't make an ounce of difference!

In better news today has been NSD12 :T, this is just absolutely amazing for me and I hope to carry this onto February.

Been to the gym and did a quick 30 minutes, suits me for a Friday evening!

    Food:
    Breakfast - weetabix
Lunch - jacket potato with cheese, beans and salad and ice cream roll
Tea - HM KFC, HM oven chips and beans
    Snack - Kitkat

Not much in the way of veg or fruit as you can see today!!! Will try harder tomorrow although were having fish and chips for DH's belated birthday lunch!!! Il have some peas to make up for it :rotfl:

Bob, im not sure really, do you actual cut it all up yourself? I pay £11 for 10 chicken breasts from the farmshop. They're a decent size too.

Hope all ok, Happy Weekend xx

Sorry the kids have been winding you up. What I was meaning was the classic it's cheaper to buy a whole bird, cook it, then use every scrap than it is to buy breasts. But if you like breasts then mute point.

    Afternoon Diary,

Had a busy morning and now I've parked my bum and not moving!!!
I took DD2 to football whilst DH to DD1 to a party. Came home ironed, put shopping away and hoovered round.

DH came home with fish and chips which were nice but I always prefer the thought of them than the actual eating of them!!

Shopping came in at £66.67 so £3.33 sent to my VSP. That now stands at £3.98!

Other than what weve been up to this morning I won't be leaving the house for the rest of the day. DH is off out tonight for his birthday night out so I'm doing football tomorrow. Ive had to ask for one of DD's friends to take her home with them after the match as I'm about half an hour away with other DD.

Thats about all really, Happy Saturday xx
