Hi Mummy ,
Just wanted to say I feel your pain with stroppy DD !
My DD is almost 13 and God can she be moody and unbearable . sometimes it's like arguing with an adult and there is no reasoning with her at all ,!
I have to remember that I am the parent as sometimes for an easier life I do tend to let things go when really I shouldn't .
I found that being firm , carrying out and sticking with my threats ie loss of TV, phone , iPad etc works wonders and miraculously all attitude , door slamming , name calling ceases and peace is resumed ( well after half hour or so of listening to wailing that her life is so unfair )0 -
Afternoon Diary,
DF0D, EE and T3F thanks for your replies. I think were probably doing things are right as they can be done, she's actually been ok today... touch wood!!! EE I don't struggle with hormones so I hope she doesnt either. I think at the minute her body is just changing and she's struggling. I do feel sorry for these teenagers as it is a hard time that I wouldn't like to go back to!
So today we lazed about all morning and weve just been to N3xt to pick up some clothes id ordered for the girls. Need to take DD2s jeans back though as they're up her leg! We also had a coffee at c0sta as a treat whilst we were down there. DH had a sulky moment, he's another one!
I also picked up a christmas present for my nephew, some playdoh from Arg0s reduced from £20 to £7.95, so thats a couple of pressies I've bought now.
Thats about all from me, hope all ok xxMummytogirls x0 -

Afternoon Diary,
Has everyone enjoyed their extra hour today? We were up and out early as my dad was running at a local event so we went to cheer him on. Took snacks with us and parked on a side street but spent £9 on a starbucks.
We got back just after 12 and DH took DD to her swimming lesson and I cracked on with the cleaning and ironing. Just having 5 minutes with a cuppa.
DH is now hoovering the cars and we will take the dog out for a long walk after he's done. Sausage and mash for tea.
I need to pop and get some veg for tea as I forgot to order it! Will probably just call in at the coop whilst were out, save going back out in the car.
Hope all ok xxMummytogirls x0 -

Evening Chrysalis and DF0D,
Our slow cooker curry was delish! Me and DD2 made a pickle tray for our poppadoms using bits we had in the fridge. I was very impressed by our efforts ha!!
DF0D I've just had another survey with op world so up to 850 points now.
Il try for the surveys again tomorrow xxMummytogirls x0 -
Morning Diary,
My Mr T's order was delivered without a hitch this morning which is good. £59 spent there, including about £5 worth of extra spends which I wouldn't normally buy (pumpkin, sweets for trick of treaters, tea lights).
Ive been on my surveys and am now up to 950 with op world, lets see if I can get the extra 50 points by the end of the day!! I am going to keep it going until the end of the week to see how much of the spends from yesterday I can re-coup!
So the kids have requested a teddy bears picnic for lunch which I can do. Am going to get on with this shortly and then we are going over to the neighbours for a catch up this afternoon.
The weather is horrible here today, really foggy and damp. Ive done a load of washing which has just finished so I will put over the airer whilst the kids have their picnic.
Ive also been having a rethink over the grocery shopping and how I do it as I feel a bit all over with it at the minute. Im planning on a 'big' shop the first week of the month and get it all delivered, all cleaning, toiletries etc. So this is how I'm splitting my budget down:
£150 - week 1 (£25 cleaning, £9 toiletries, £26 weekly spends milk, bread etc, £50 butchers/farmshop, £40 other monthly items such as ketchup, gravy, cereal, jars etc)
£40 - weeks 2-4 (this should only be £26 weekly spends so should be saving £14 a week here
£10 - weeks 2-4 - top up shop for any fruit etc we may need for packed lunches.
I hope this works as if it does I could be saving £42 every 4 weeks on my shopping which never ever happens! Will start this from 10th November when I next get paid.
Still no heating, I actually think its quite warm in the house but I'm not sure if thats down to hoovering the whole 3 floors including stairs!!!!
