    Afternoon Diary,

DF0D you get up earlier every day that goes by!!!

So today we did not get up as early as DF0D! Had pancakes for breakfast then went for a little trip to Ikea! Mental, it was so packed in the car park but we knew it would be and managed to get parked. Spent £17 on little bits that weve needed, which I dont think is bad going for a couple of hours out. Kid wanted a hotdog.... gip! They can't have been nice (as nice as hotdogs can be) as they both threw them in the bin! £1.85 though for 2 hotdogs and a drink... bargain! They can have a 50p ice cream next time.

Then came the more expensive trip.. DH has been eyeing up a TV for DD2... £199 spent there . His spending guilt obviously didn't last long did it. He needs to transfer money out of the savings to cover it, will remind him.

Thats about all from me. Have hot beef baguettes and chips for tea... yum xx

  • Ikea do a frozen yogurt type thing for 70p that was quite nice, I can't stand the hot dogs there, they smell gross!

Do love Ikea though, one being built closer to us next year, only two hours round trip to it!

  • Afternoon Diary,

Day 1 back at work... done! I am absolutely shattered as didn't get to sleep until after 12 and was up at 6.04am... only 4 minutes of a snooze so not too bad :rotfl:.

The great news for today is I've just made a payment to MBN@ and we are now in the £11k's . So pleased with this I can't even tell you!!!

Im starting tracking my NSD's again from September... today will not be a NSD as I need to pop to the farm shop for chicken and also my shopping is being delivered by Mr T this evening... better luck tomorrow!!!

Id put some washing out on an airer and it had started raining just as we got in. Its almost dried to I've chucked in the TD for 30 mins and will iron it this evening.

I will make DH and I something nice for tea as its our anniversary day... Happy anniversary Daddytogirls!!! I am also planning on making a lasagne for tomorrow's tea at the same time.

2 hours to Ikea DF0D... ours is about half an hour so not too bad.

Thats about all from me. Hope all ok xx

  • Hi MTG

    HAPPY ANNVERSARY

Glad first day back went ok, hope you get to sleep earlier tonight. We will have the same problem for a few days. Children are back to school tomorrow and have been having some late nights and then sleeping in. going to be a shock getting back into the old routine.

I can't tell you how many years it has been since I went to an IKEA. Probably getting on for 20 years :rotfl:. Hubby and I went round the Bristol one when we were dating - Looooong ago in the mid 1990's. I did love it then but have been poor ever since and never made the 1.1/2 hour trip to it. I remember liking the downstairs kitchen bits area the most. Think I am scared of the amount i would spend. You did very well to come out with such a small spend.

Great news with MBN@ getting into the 11k's. Love these little milestones.

    xxxx
  • Afternoon Diary,

Awww what a lovely surprise to come on here to lots of lovely messages. Thank you DF0D, PLMBL, Chrysalis and Steph :D.

So I ended up being shattered last night but then getting a bit of a second wind and not going to bed until after 11pm. Snoozed until 6.09 this morning, can you tell its getting progressively worse :rotfl:.
Today hasn't been too bad, as good as can be for a first day back really!!!

Kids are currently at gymnastics, DH collects them on his way home from work. Currently got some chicken in the oven roasting for sandwiches for DD1 and I for the next 2 days. Also jacket potatoes and need to put my lasagne in soon. Think I forgot to mention that my sister is coming for tea tonight.

Kids seemed full of it when they came out of school which is a good thing and I hope it continues. They both looked lovely in their new uniforms this morning and DD2 hasn't scuffed her shoes yet which is good ha!!

Mr T's came with my shopping yesterday and that was £55 plus spent £12 in the farmshop. I have £10 left for next weeks shop... hmmm thats basically my bread and milk for the week so obviously going to go over budget this month. I was thinking I might have to increase it but the extra has obviously come from having the kids at home. Ive got this grocery budget app on my phone which has helped me keep track.

Today is NSD1 of September, long may the NSD's continue :T

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the kids being back (if they're back now!). Will catch up soon xx
