    Evening Diary,

Wow I've been busy and tired this week! SA, its just typical isn't it, happens everytime!

Having a bit of a tough time with DD1 and school at the minute, its not been the best school year and tbh I just can't wait for her to be away from this teacher. She's been in trouble today with a group of girls and quite rightly so, shoe on the other foot if another child was plotting what they were then id be fuming too.
What I can't quite get my head around is how they can get to the end of yr2 being complete teachers pets and receiving certificates and merits left right and centre, yet year 3 seems to be the end of all that. Thinking of maybe booking an appointment with the learning mentor to see if this is just what to expect as they get older i.e. lack of certificates/praise etc or if its just age/part of growing up. Everyday she just looks so miserable coming out of school, I can't help but wonder what this teacher is doing for their confidence. Were not the only ones to be feeling like this either. Wish babies and children came with a manual!!!

Nothing much to report anyway, just glad its the weekend! At least any scraps that go on here I can deal with myself!!! xx

    Hi MTG,

Sorry to hear about your DD and chool. It is a shame when they get teachers that just aren't very good as it can set them back and ruin a whole year.

DD2 has a wonderful teacher so I will be gutted when she loses him. Our year 6 teacher isn't great at our school, I felt like DD1 went through her last year of school as the invisible child. She is such a lovely kind and well mannered child and in that class she just didn't get noticed. Her teacher lost her last report so we didn't ever get one before she started secondary. I just didn't feel like she got the credit she deserved which the girls that were nasty in her class were the teachers pets as they were the sportiest and high achievers. DD2 will probably have a different experience as she is more of a whirlwind so likely to fit the 'favourite' qualities.

I hope your daughter has a better teacher next year.

    Morning Diary,

Thanks Alice and GAP for popping in!!! Haha GAP loved your comment about meal plans will post about tonights tea later!!

So yesterday was quite spendy as we went shopping for the rest of our holiday things... mostly DH as he had nothing. I also bought some exfoliator from lush which I just love so been using that this morning!!

Got up this morning and cleaned the kitchen and the floors downstairs. With DD's being in and out all the time the floor feels filthy all the time... can't cope with dirty feet!! Don't know why I bothered as DH is now washing the cars so the floor will be back to square one within a couple of hours.
I had no washing so decided not to miss the opportunity to peg out and washed our bedding again :D.. nothing like creating work for yourself is there!!

Will take DD to her swimming lesson after lunch and her next lot of lessons need paying for so thats another £73 to spend there. Will also pop to Mr T's after swimming for salad and a few other bits for lunches throughout the week.

Tonights tea hasn't even got a name its just a concoction my friend threw together and its soooo tasty!! So basically you fry off leeks, bacon and chicken and then add stock and reduce down for about 10 mins. Then you add creme fraiche and dijon mustard and reduce for about a further 10 mins. It is so nice, will serve with roast potatoes and peas.

Thats about all from me. Hope all ok xx
