Morning Diary,
Puzzcat, I hope mine last that long this time around
!!
So what to report! Thursday we went on a nice walk with the dog, kids took their scooters and it took up an hour or so! They went to Halloween party at night but poor DD2 was petrified of some of the costumes so ended up in the car with DH for the last bit. DD1 is very laid back and not phased by anything. I find it hard to believe they are so different!!
Yesterday we went to a local museum which we have annual passes for. Cost me £4 in parking and we took a picnic lunch.
Today I need to pop to Mr M's for a few bits such as bread for the tea party tomorrow. Didnt buy enough when I went shopping on Wednesday obviously! Theres a card factory in there so I will get a balloon for DD's birthday too.
DH will spend the day making the cake and thats about it really! Cant believe my first baby is going to be 7... really dont know where the time has gone.
Think thats all from me anyway, nothing to report xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi MTG
Sounds like you have had a lovely couple of days.
My girls are totally different too. DD1 is laid back, very well mannered and polite, very creative and thoughtful but lacks a little confidence. DD2 oozes confidence but is quite emotional. She is a bit wild but very loving
Have a lovel weekend

Hi OF,
Ive really enjoyed my first week off doing term time only! The kids have been soooo good aswell, which to me means it was definitely the right choice.
My 2 sound just like your 2 but the confidence lies with DD1! I just cant believe they are so different! I was saying to DH this morning DD1 would be an easy only child as she entertains herself... DD2 on the otherhand needs constant attention! She wears me out even at the age of 5 (nearly!).

:rotfl:my three are all different too, DS2 is the most confident of them all though and nothing fazes him to the point he regularly gives me a heart attack with some of the things he does :rotfl:
I've had my saucepans for 3 years now I think. they are from D3benhams the £200 set but if you wait for the Jan sales they are always £100 and they were so worth it! I've had tefal for years before them and they needed replacing all the time
! These are stainless steel none of that silly coating stuff (oh aside from the frying pan!? which is now on it's way out and will be replaced with no coating one) but they are great and look as good as the day I bought them
And can I just say ....your DH doesn't like one pot dinners??? Is he crazy, they are the best! Easy to make, delicious tasting! I'd use my slow cooker for everything if I could :rotfl:0 -
Happy Birthday to DD2 for yesterday!
My DD couldn't wait to be 5 and now she is asking when she is going to be 6. Slow down...I don't want my baby to grow up lol.
How is your car going? Fingers crossed it doesn't let you down again...come on car you can make it!!!

Afternoon Diary!
Long time no post and I hope everyones ok!
Had a very busy few days personally and at work! Was DD's party Sunday and they all had a fab time. Birthday Monday which was a busy day also. Then Tuesday and Wednesday we have OFST3D in at work so I went in early on both mornings to make sure someone in the office when they arrived. Seemed to go ok but it doesnt affect us as such in the office.
Tuesday the bl00dy car wouldnt start outside work and I had to get the AA out to it! They changed the battery on it which made me £76 lighter but I got to DD2's open day on time which was the main thing and its been fine since. I was surprised to hear thats the original battery on that car so cant complain really.
I was supposed to be in Mr M's which I was sat in the car waiting for AA to come, so had to go yesterday by which point I was seriously flagging! Went to bed at 8.15 last night ha!!
So today I feel much fresher, have done the banking, very tight now in the joint account due to these things that have happened, cant be helped though so not beating self up about it. Paid TC the £40 we owe them so thats off my back now. Also DH had opened a V3ry account to order DD's xbox as with a voucher code for new customers it made it cheaper than elsewhere so ive just paid that off in full aswell. Payday for me on Tuesday cannot wait! I do prefer being paid 4 weekly actually as it doesnt feel long between paydays. Weve got petrol in the car and food in the house so thats all that matters.
Still no set heating on an evening. We have it on for an hour in the morning but nothing in the evenings other than to get washing dried.
Think thats all really. Hope everyones ok. Got an hour to fly round with the hoover etc before picking girls up. Theyre going to my mums at 5pm for tea whilst DH and I go to parents evening!
Catch up soon xxMummytogirls x0 -
Afternoon diary,
Well what changes can occur over one evening! Went out to DD's parents evenings yesterday, both doing really well etc, get a little distracted with talking but on the very good.
Then comes a knock on the door. Its the childminder wanting a word... shes not doing it anymore :(. Devastated as I am I understand why etc and its only Monday she collects now anyway. So DH and I get our heads together and work out that if he goes in for 7 on a Monday he can probably pick them up himself. This will mean me taking them to Breakfast club on a Monday just hope I can make it work on time as I start 15 mins later and it takes me 7 mins to get there!! I think I should be ok, just need to speak to the headteacher but im sure she will be fine. Then DH decides it would be easier if the girls went every day for breakfast club then theres only Monday which is a funny day. We are going to end up paying about £20 a month more than we currently are but tbh if it makes his life easier then so be it as I know I struggled when I worked full time and didnt get to the office until nearly 9.30am. No more leisurely mornings, were going to have to be up and ready by 7.30 every morning now! I was saying to DH I cant believe how many times this school run has changed! Hopefully now we will be like this for some time.
Nothing to report money wise since yesterday. Went to Argos today and picked up 3 kids party presents in the 3 for 2 for under £10! Paid with my love2shop voucher so cost me nothing! Also went to home bargains and picked up a lego book for a pressie and wrapping paper for £2.98 so quite a bargainous day all round!!
Going to do a cooked breakfast for tea.. yum! This is the last day DH will come home last with making his hours up, im sure he will appreciate that one!
Tomorrow kids have a party 3-5 so that will be them fed for tea! Nothing much planned for Sunday other than the usual swimming lessons.
Payday Tuesday :j!
Hope everyones ok and Happy weekend xxMummytogirls x0 -
Oh dear poor little DD isnt feeling too good. As soon as I posted I brought them inside from playing out and we sat down to do homework. She started complaining of headache and looked tired so I put her on the sofa watching TV and some calpol and she was asleep within 10 minutes. Shes not had any tea and it now burning up. Im hoping shes just tired as we have had a busy week, poor baby

Just switched the gas and electricity to a different tariff as SP kindly wrote to me telling me they were putting the prices up. Still with SP as they seem one of the best and it saves the hassle of changing to a new supplier. We should save around £12 a month which is fab so fingers crossed it works out that way!! xxMummytogirls x0
