    Evening diary,

Wasnt intending on going on the laptop but MIL asked me to do something for her so im just having a quick catch up!

The weather is absolutely pants here at the moment, really wet and cold. Had the heating on tonight as we were soaked to the skin after school plus got my washing dried.
So im absolutely full of cold now, have been up since 5.30 as I couldnt sleep, didnt taste one mouthful of my tea! Made a quiche tonight which was nice, the kids really enjoyed it too.

Moneywise £15 spent in the butchers today on a chicken and 2 lots of mince.

Nothing more to report really! Hope youre all ok xx

  • Hi Mummy, weather is wild with us to, have lit the stove and we are snuggled in front of it, still no CH on though so thats a bonus.

Hope you feel better soon, I'm also under the weather, must be getting to that time of year.
  • Afternoon diary,

Just done my banking so having a quick catch up! So money wise ive just made the last payment to one of my cards... the remainder from what was transferred to the 0% card. Feels good to have rid of that!
Also forgot to mention we owed TC's £40 which they said in a reminder they didnt want back yet. Got a letter wanting that back in the next month so ive just altered my spread sheet to accommodate it. Feel like ringing them up and saying you can it back at £9 a month how it was paid to us! Cant be bothered with the agro though! At least its not always in the back of my mind that we owe it.

Things going well here, still off with the heating but ive got some washing to dry this afternoon so im going to put it on. Kids are sleeping at MIL's tonight and me and DH are having a night out. Really looking forward to it just hope the weather doesnt rain like its forecast too.

Dont think ive anything else to report really. Lifes good and im looking forward to this time next week when I will have broken up for half term!

Hope everyones ok, happy weekend xx

    Afternoon Diary,

Another half a week has gone by without me posting! Had a lovely weekend full of food and drink, I was tired on Sunday though and ended up in bed with the kids at 7.30pm!!
Work going ok this week, we break up for half term on Friday and I am looking forward to it. I can tell the kids need the break too as they having melt downs about everything so far this week.

Weve bought DD's birthday present which is in 2 weeks. Bought her an xbox and got a good deal on it which is good. Her cards are here too so im pretty much all sorted for it. Just need to get some party food in for her little party but shes only having a few friends so it wont be anything major.

My hoover broke on Sunday so thats in for repairs at the mo. Cant believe its just a few weeks out of warranty but this little local shop are charging less than Dyson so took it there. Should take a couple of days to repair, can you imagine what my house will look like then with a hairy Labrador about the place!

Been to Mr M's today and spent £61, not too bad asI got lots of good offers on cleaning stuff which will see me through to the New Year id have thought!

Also just paid 18p that h@lifax sent me on my last statement! I mean it cost more than that to post the sodding statement out doesnt it!

Still only having the heating on the odd hour to get washing dried, it does mean using the TD though if not! Havent had it on today and im sat in a short sleeved top and im not cold.

Have a chicken casserole in the oven for tea, it smells gorgeous! Im sure DH will have something to say about it as he hates one pot teas but tough he will eat it or starve!!!

Right thats all from me. Hope everyones ok xx

  • Afternoon Diary,

Wow Friday already, heeelllooo week off!!!

So ive been out and about all week after work. Did extra Wednesday until school finished so I will get extra pay for that. Not much but better than nothing. Finally found some curtains yesterday from BnM of all places! Never been in but its my new favourite place.
Ive come straight home today as I was tired and its my last afternoon without the kids!
Ive put a load of darks in and im going to whip round with the hoover and the bathrooms.

I think I mentioned previously about my hoover, got it back yesterday. It did need a new motor which cost £58 which wasnt bad at all. Good to have it back anyway!

So this weekend, im off out tonight but im going to drive to save money and also so I dont have a hangover tomorrow. Were taking the kids to see planes on the movies for juniors tomorrow. DH has been to Mr T's today and spent £6 on supplies to take with us so that will be £12 all in.
Tomorrow night im out again and I wont be driving! then chill out Sunday.

Think thats all from me. Hope everyones ok xx

    Afternoon Diary,

Day 2 of the holidays and I havent had to shout at the kids yet!!!
The weather hasnt been too bad here, hope my friends in the South werent hit too hard.

So yesterday we had to wait in for a parcel so we did lots of fun indoor activities. Today weve been to soft play to meet up with DD2's little friend. It was packed out though so they limited you to 2 hours. There were people actually queuing to get in .
Weve also been to Mr A's and spent £20 on Halloween costumes for the kids.

Tomorrow weve got a nice cheap day as in free at the local art gallery! Then Thursday a kids museum which we have annual membership to. So hopefully wont be spending much more this week.

Did the meter readings yesterday and were £35 in credit and another payment goes in Thursday so we will be £150 in credit then!

Nothing more to report... still no heating here woohoo!!! xx

    Morning Diary,

Day 4 of the holidays and its still going ok! Yesterday we stayed local and went to a workshop in the local art gallery. The kids enjoyed it and we were out 3 hours!
Today we are not doing much until this afternoon when we have a Halloween party to go to. Im going to take them to a few houses round here before going off to it.

So I gave my car the day off yesterday until after tea when me and the girls were going to Mr M's and the battery was as flat as anything! Luckily DH and BIL were there as they were just about to go somewhere so we bump started it! The kids were shocked, I think more that the men were pushing the car haha!!! It started again fine in Morrisons so hoping its just a little blip! Spent £52 in Mr M's which included some food for DD's party which is Sunday and also £15 on some new pans which should have been £30 and much needed as we were down to 1 pan with no handle since the weekend haha!!

Its DH's payday today and ive just made the payment to the CM and DH's Bcard thats got a small amount on it.

Think thats all from me really from me xx

  • Morning mummy,

Oh dear about the car, fingers crossed it was a one off.

you made ma chuckle about the pans, I'm ok for pans, it pyrex dishes that I need to get, I'm down to one tiny ramakin and a huge roasting dish that will barely fit in the oven, I used to have loads but have no idea where they have gone, might need to put them n my xmas list ( I know boring).

Thanks for the fingers crossed pennywise! Its never done it before out of the blue like that. It did do it last year when I left the lights on park all day but other than that its been ok! It had only been moved from the driveway into the street for a few days so DH could get his bike out so im wondering if its that. Il keep an eye on it and get a new battery if needs be.

Re the pans, we spent a lot of money on t3fal ones that have swivvel handles for better storage about 6 years ago and one by one theyve all died and the coating stuff has come off. Seriously unimpressed as they cost loads and the one remaining pan was out of the first pan set we bought 12 years ago from Argos for £10!! Will never buy those coated ones again, these new ones are stainless steel (I think!).
Very practical for you to ask Santa for new pyrex dishes!!! xx
